  • Worked very well!!
Model: Adjustable
I bought the gauge because I wanted an easy and accurate way to check the blade alignment on my table saw. The product worked very well, easy to setup and use. If you are going to do the same make sure that you back off the blade angle adjustment wheel so to relieve any stress on the mechanism, this did make about a 4 to 5 thousands difference in the measurement. When I had the blade angle wheel tight the difference between the front of the blade and the rear was about 10 thousands and when I loosened it up a touch it brought it down to about 5 to 6 thousands difference and the blade was still at 90 degrees, when it's all the way tight it's a tenth or two over 90 and there is stress on the mechanism. Be aware of that and also make sure you put a new clean blade on and make sure the arbor is clean and free of debris when installing the blade, also try to measure as close to the center line of the blade as you can. ... show more

  • Very Good Product Quality - Once received with all of the components
Model: Adjustable
When the replacement item arrived, it meets or exceeds all expectations; The issue with the first shipment I received was amazon or whoever does the fulfillment on this, sent an item that appears to have been returned by another purchaser as it was partially assembled when I opened the box. The back of the unit which is needed to hold the device steady against the blade was missing, a few of the screws looked as though they had been deformed during the attempted assembly. That said I used Amazons excellent return policy and received a fully complete and functional replacement. In the end, very satisfied with the purchase. ... show more

  • Table saw alignment gauge.
This works pretty well and is handy to have but the bar that fits into the groove is rather shallow and tends to pop out of the groove, which is the reason for the thumb screws. The thumb screws were also rough and scratched my new saw before I realized and filed them smooth. Once it’s dialed in it does a good enough job but it could be improved. ... show more

  • Slick Kit
Model: Adjustable
I got this in conjunction with purchase of a new Bosch table saw. This made calibrating the saw blade, fence, and safety rail easy and incredibly accurate. Most people don’t know to calibrate the blade or dado every time you change them. Or to check the blade after several long days of usage. This is a handy kit in a much needed case. I keep it handy and use it on my bandsaw and a couple times on the drill press. Where I have a fence that I want to be set with accuracy. Great valve. Good quality. I am expecting many years of service and gave no doubt that I will. ... show more

  • A must have
Model: Adjustable
Working with a well tuned table saw will make you a better woodworker. This gage is well priced and works perfectly to aline your blade to the miter slot. Once that's done it can be used to get the saws fence parallel to the saw blade. This will help you get a much cleaner rip cut. I have no complaints with this gage and would certainly buy it again. ... show more

  • Not stable
Model: Adjustable
This unit does not fit correctly in the table saw miter channel and therefor it does not give a stable blade alignment.

  • nicely packaged - solid tool
Model: Adjustable
I'm still getting used to the indicator but with time it should be a decent indicator of alignment

  • A mostly good jig crippled by hardware that poorly fits the threads
Model: Adjustable
The gauge and jig were packaged well - comes in a cardboard box that has a foam insert with cutouts for the jig components and the plastic case for the gage. The plastic case is nothing fancy, but it does the job and is nice to have at this price point. I don't have any way to test the accuracy of the indicator itself, but it seems to work fine and is easy to use. It's built well-enough. The jig is mostly good - almost great really. The two aluminum pieces are nicely machined and have a smooth finish with no imperfections that I can notice. The problem is that the threads and the hardware for adjusting/removing play from the miter bar don't match up very well - both the set screws in the sides of the miter bar and the bolts with the knobs for setting the depth in the miter slot are noticeably loose - I can easily wiggle both the set screws and the bolts with my finger. It's enough playto make it maddeningly difficult to get the good, snug fit in the miter bar that is required to get accurate measurements from the gauge. And there's so little friction on the hardware that it doesn't stay where I set it. My solution? I gave up on the jig. I still have the indicator attached to the horizontal piece, but I have that clamped to my saw's miter gage, which is far easier to get properly fitted in my miter slot and actually stays the way I set it. But that horizontal piece isn't the one that needs to be precise - I could have just bought an indicator gauge alone, screwed it onto a scrap of wood and clamped that to my miter gauge. So this kit isn't actually providing me any convenience or value over just a buying an indicator gauge on its own. It sucks, because it's otherwise well-made, but because the hardware doesn't fit properly the jig fails to do the only thing that it is intended to do, which is to reliably hold the indicator in a consistent position relative to the miter slot. I realize that this isn't an expensive kit, but properly-fitting hardware isn't asking much and without it the jig fails to be the minimum viable product. The indicator gauge is fine, but I could have bought a comparable one for half the cost of this kit. I recommend just getting a decent dial or digital indicator, attaching to a scrap and clamping to your miter gauge if you want an inexpensive way to tune up your table saw. This of course only works if you have a miter gauge that can be tuned to fit snugly in the miter slot, but if you don't have a decent miter gauge you should probably get one to get the most out of your table saw anyway. If you want a separate stand-alone jig like this one, it's worth paying a bit more to get a good one to get the most out of your saw. ... show more
