Easy to read with the contrasting colors. It's a good indicator. If you're looking to indicate in a vise on a mill, or centering material in a vise, then you might not want this indicator (would suggest a .0005 indicator). Not that it won't work, but a .0005 indicator is just faster/easier to do with. The .0001 indicator is just a little too sensitive for those applications in my opinion. ... show more

    • Better than the smaller Mitutoyo tenths indicator with white face
I used this at work today, borrowed from a coworker because my half though indicator wasn't sensitive enough for me. I had used the normal white tenths mitutoyo indicator and had that in my cart. I'm SO glad I used this one first. It's much better. It's easier to see being larger dial, I think the dial colors itself also make it easier to see, it comes with extra probes, the barrel attachment for the dovetails, and also the bar to attach it to a height gauge. I also like that it has the smaller needle to tell how many times the needle has rotated and how close the gauges is from losing contact with the work/tool/workholder, or how close it is to maxing out the gauge.
