- Easy to Set Up and Use: First, zero the dial gauge, then assemble and secure it along with the grip locking pliers and articulated arm. Once mounted set it about 10mm from the edge of the rotor, and find the low spot, once you do, sero at the low spot, then slowly spin the rotor, you will want to note the high spot readings and them use the manufacturer supplied info for the vehicle to determine if the rotor can be cut or needs to be replaced. Note: if you prefer to mount the articulated arm and dial indicator onto a traditional magnetic base, you can do so; thread is M8 x 1.25 so it will also fit your rotating magnetic dial indicator mount

Perfect for checking rotor runout

Used a magnet base for years checking runout on rotors. Always a problem with finding a good spot to mount base. Locking pliers eliminated that problem. Clamp on anywhere with the flexible shaft. The dial indicator is in mm only FYI. Nice storage case to keep damage free. Recommend A+

Worth the money
Color: blue case
Easy to set up and use. Measurements reproducible. The gauge sticks at times but could be that it’s new. A small amount of lube may help. Flexible arm is short for mounting on car so best to have a sturdy base on the ground.

Be easy
After almost a year of continuous use since day one, not very accurate. It’s hard to adjust to the necessary values cause it constantly moves, for the money not to bad as far as value goes. It’s held up pretty good but just wouldn’t use it professionally

If limit hands are important to you, this gauge does not have them!

I ordered this and it arrived without the limit hands that are advertised. I asked "Rufus" if my unit was defective. He assured me that it was and that the limit hands should be on the gauge. So I re-ordered. The second one arrived. You guessed it, it came without the limit hands. Apparently, this item no longer has limit hands. Rufus didn't know what he was talking about. It would have been much easier if I could have asked the question to DP Tool. If that option exists, I couldn't find it. So, I looked up DP Tool on-line. That was a different company.
