  • Excellent Digital Rotor Runout Gauge
I picked up the HDLNKAK Premium Disc and Rotor/Ball Joint Digital Gage to check rotor runout while doing brakes on my 2015 Honda Accord, and it worked perfectly. This tool is impressively precise with its 0.0005" resolution, making it easy to get accurate measurements on the rotors. The 360-degree flexible stem holder was a game-changer — I could position the dial indicator exactly where I needed it without any hassle, even in the tight spaces around the Accord’s front brakes. ... show more

  • Gauge works nicely, case not a good fit for the parts.
The digital gauge works smoothly. Some of the parts were all over inside the case. I could not get things to fit nicely, so I bought a HF foam case and cut the foam to hold the parts correctly.

  • Chinglish Translation
The gauge itself appears to be a good unit. The instructions which came with it, however, show a TYPE I unit AND a TYPE II unit. The TYPE I unit, which I received, is the simpler, apparently less expensive, of the two. (The on/off switch in the TYPE II unit seems to be multi-function: toggling through data hold, display of current values, and displaying max and min values.) The instructions are Chinglishy. For example, the instructions identify the smooth back cover as "The even back cover." ("Even" apparently means "smooth.") The gauge comes with a spare back cover with a lug on it which provides an alternate way to mount the gauge, which I wasn't expecting, but could be useful. The normal way of mounting the gauge is by sliding its fixed outer probe guide tube through the flexible segmented arm end clamp. What I am calling the "fixed outer probe guide tube" (through which the probe slides), the Chinglish instructions call the "mounting diameter." What I am calling "the probe" the instructions call the "spindle." "The customemow [sic] can select the production with the measuring direction button. When require convert the measuring direction you can press the measuring direction button." "Customemow" means customer. As for the rest, I think "measuring direction button" means the inch/mm UNITS OF MEASURE button, which does toggle the display between inches and millimeters, and converts inches to millimeters and vice versa. Despite the instructions the gauge seems well built, easy to read, easy to use, and a good value. ... show more

  • Nice quality, flex shaft locks well
This does what it should, performs well and feels solid. I was amazed that this flex shaft locks down so well! It is not terribly long, but great for my needs. FYI the end peice is threaded but may be super tight. It's M3, however the end pieces I bought were a different (unlabeled) taper so I'm not sure what correctly fits this. ... show more

  • Hard to set zero
Hard to get to zero and stay there. After hitting "zero' it pops to -0.001 to -0.004 so a non digital might be a better choice but still ez math to get the reading
