I am a barrel-and-clamp girl thru and thru. If I put a wand near my head my hair automatically goes full Annie. So naturally, the t3 doesn't come with any clamp barrels, so ordering this was a MUST! I have attached a picture of my finished product. I have very thick, naturally curly hair, and my hair was air-dried, with NO product before or after. Usually I have to hold a piece of hair on the barrel for 10-15 seconds, but with the t3 I only have to hold it MAX 5 seconds 13/10 would recommend for any hair type! **Don't forget, you need to own the t3 Micronics set to use this....you'd be surprised... ... show more

I have the straightest hair that WILL NOT curl but the t3 iron provides a nice even heat source through the barrel and it WILL curl my hair. One of my favorite purchases ever. I do not have to use product in my hair if I want body curls. I do add light flexible hairspray if I want defined curls though. Curls/body will last a few days. If you are thinking about buying this to go with your styling wand trio, just do it. You'll love it. ... show more

Oily residue and hair on barrel upon opening package. Cleaned and disinfected prior to initial use. Actually like the product, so I’m keeping, but purchased new should arrive new - period.

Best curling iron and barrels. I love my T3 whirl and I wanted a clip barrel so I got this one and it's great just like all of the barrels made for the iron! It makes long lasting curls and the clip on the curling iron is perfect. I have stopped using all my other curling irons because this one gives the best results and the most long lasting beautiful curls. My hair actually feels healthier after using it! This is by far the best commercial grade iron available on the market. Not some cheaply made and branded product like most others online today. My wife is a hair stylist and she basically forced me to buy this one for her. Since than she has been getting more compliments from all her customers on a job well done. I ordered this curling iron for my wedding day and because I (used) to have thick, long and healthy voluminous hair. My hair has always been super strong in the fact that I’ve curled, hot ironed, teased, hair sprayed, blow dried, colored and everything else without consequence my entire life (I take the quote, “The higher the hair, the closer to God” LITERALLY! Lol). In other words, my hair has always been the trooper in my beauty regimen. So imagine my disbelief when my hair got totally fried on my wedding day from using this curling iron. I ended up having to cut 9 inches off afterwards. I considered the wedding day mishap to be a total fluke, as I got married in Bali and thought their electricity/difference in voltage could have had a lot to do with tool overheating. So, I brought the curling iron back home with me back in the U.S. and continued to use it at a much lower heat setting, since after all, I did spend upwards of $200 on this hair tool and everyone online seems to gawk over all T3 products. Over the last several months, my hair has continued to look unusually brassy, super dry and it often smells “burnt”. It also breaks very easily and I have areas in my mane that definitely were NOT cut that short (meaning, the hair just broke off at some point). I finally stopped using the curling iron at the lower heat setting and decided to order two different infrared thermometers to check the actual heat level on this tool. 474 freaking degrees.... WOW!!!!!! (FYI: Hair burns at 450 degrees). T3 products are only supposed to get to 410 degrees- and this reading wasn’t even on the highest heat setting! I took readings at various times using different thermometers, and I got the same answer each time. Now I know why my hair is ruined! THANKS, T3. Buy this curling iron at your own risk. Sure, it curls your hair fast and seems to do the trick much better than your average curling iron- but at the expense of damaging your hair beyond repair in the process? So not worth it. ... show more
