This unit is built well, but if you run 100A thru it, the lug connections will get quite warm due to the relatively small contact surface and 1/4" studs. To keep cables cool when running 100A or more you need 3/8" studs

If you are looking for a “fuse” or breaker, this is THE one that you want. I have looked at every available option in a car audio installation, and these breakers work so much better than an inline fuse. First, if the fuse blows, no need to have to get another one. The breaker is just tripped. Also, and more importantly, it gives the ability to “switch” off the power, or open the connection. Makes it easy to work on components by flipping the switch, then turning back on by just clipping it back in. Easy. For those that bought the 250 amp like I did, that one doesn’t come with a switch. But get one that has an onboard switch that makes it easy to open the connection. Is a lifesaver. Also, best point about THIS one over any other one is the 3/8” lug connection. Way beefier and more contact surface to flow the energy across to what you need. Everything else is 1/4” or 5/16”, so this is the king of connection at 3/8”. Stop looking around.
