I just returned a breaker from RedWolf that broke while I was installing it. It was cheaply made and that was obvious from taking it out of the package. This one is the exact opposite. Upon first removing it from the box, you can feel the weight of it, and then upon pressing the button to kick the breaker out, and then resetting it, you can feel that this breaker is very well made and very solid. If you are looking for a “fuse” or breaker, this is THE one that you want. I have looked at every available option in a car audio installation, and these breakers work so much better than an inline fuse. First, if the fuse blows, no need to have to get another one. The breaker is just tripped. Also, and more importantly, it gives the ability to “switch” off the power, or open the connection. Makes it easy to work on components by flipping the switch, then turning back on by just clipping it back in. Easy. For those that bought the 250 amp like I did, that one doesn’t come with a switch. But get one that has an onboard switch that makes it easy to open the connection. Is a lifesaver. Also, best point about THIS one over any other one is the 3/8” lug connection. Way beefier and more contact surface to flow the energy across to what you need. Everything else is 1/4” or 5/16”, so this is the king of connection at 3/8”. Stop looking around. Something happened and the initial shipment never arrived. I contacted Amazon and a replacement was quickly sent out. The initial one never turned up. Soon as I purchase my next power set (battery, charger, inverter) I will purchase another equivalent breaker from this vendor.
