My Bissell Pet Eraser vacuum was starting to get quite warm while using it and there was a faint burning smell. Then the power button got mushy and then stopped working. I called a vacuum repair shop and they said Bissell doesn't sell the button and I'd have to replace a bunch of stuff. I said, "Well screw it, I'll try to fix it, I've got nothing to lose," and I found similar black circular switches available online (not from Bissell). After some struggles finding the right screws to take out to get to the switch (you have to pry out the wand release lever first) I was able to get the switch out. I found out the little "sock" insulating the ground wire was toasted. I then searched Amazon and found this set of 5 switches that also came with wires and replacement clear insulation bits, which I clearly needed to replace. The install was super easy using wire strippers/crimpers and a blue connecty bit a friend gave me. The wires that came in this set were actually thicker than the ones in the vacuum, so I have confidence they can handle the power. The wire prong ends slide securely over the switch and if you squeeze the right spot they come out easily too. Now my vacuum works good as new! $7 and a few hours to fix a $250 item? Great deal! Highly recommend this set if you need these black circular switches, it's a great price for everything you get.
