This t-ball set has provided many hours of backyard fun. I wasn't entirely sure how this worked when I bought it, but my son figured it out quickly. You have to turn on the base and then there is a button on the bat that you push when you want it to pop out a ball. You just push it, wait a second, and "pop!" a ball comes out at the perfect height for a little kid to swing at. It really works! And it has continued to work all summer. It's a very fun toy and a great concept that makes it easy to hit balls over and over again to get in lots of swinging practic.

This thing is cheap, it's not a durable toy at all and likely will break after a couple plays. But my kids still liked it, they especially liked hitting the button to auto launch the balls. That feature is probably the only thing that is any good about this, I can't really compare it to anything as an example, but side by side with a little tikes T-ball set, this feels like it is maybe 1/4 the thickness with much more brittle plastic

I have been trying so hard to think of creative ways that my children can spend time outdoors safely, so I ordered this set and I am SO glad I did! We love it because: - people of any size can enjoy it; my husband and I have done it with the children and we even had a competition against each other that was SO fun! - it is relatively quiet considering what it does - the bat is expandable, so you could do different lengths if you needed to I suppose - it is not overly large and can be stored away pretty easily - it does work well; the balls shoot out at the right height and the remote sensor on the bat works Downsides: - my son says it would be nice if it came with a few more balls since you can't really play it with other balls and they will get used up A blessing for family time and safe, active play!

This automatic t-ball set pitching machine is just adorable!! It was easy to assemble by just twisting on the ball loader chute and then adding batteries (none included) to the bat (2 AA) and the pitching machine (4 AA). Once batteries are in place in both pieces, just add the balls to the loading chute and push the start button on the pitching part. A red light will flash on the pitching machine when it's turned on. They include 5 balls and they all fit at once, one in the hole and 4 in the chute. The balls will fall into the hole on their own once the current one in the hole has launched so you get 5 hits before needing to reload. When you press the button on the bat, the pitching part makes a noise for a few seconds (get ready!!) and then pops the ball up in the air. It pops the ball up at a good speed and to a good height for a young child. It's just the cutest thing and it works really well. The ages they suggest seem correct, around 3-8 will enjoy this. I took 1 star off because the screws to the battery box lids will be easily lost and they could have easily put a clip on these lids to prevent the screws from completely coming out at all, especially at this price point. The assembly instructions are located on the bottom of the box but assembly is easy and pretty evident just by looking at it. Overall, this is a super cute t-ball pitching machine, easy to assemble, works exactly as it should.

This T ball set is appears to be made decently. Its very easy to put together and use. Its lightweight and can fit pretty much into any corner. The bat works well and the balls shoot out at a good rate of speed. Overall quite happy with this item so far.

I got this set for my sons birthday. The base requires 4 double AAs and the bat requires 2. There is a button on the bat that tells the pitching machine to pop up with a ball. The ball pops up about 4 seconds after you hit the button. The height that it pops up is appropriate for a child. Overall, it works really well. I was able to hit several balls. My son is 7 and still trying to get the coordination. It came with 5 plastic baseballs. Fun toy and great way to practice hitting the ball. I was very impressed that the bat works as a remote control for the base.

As other reviewers have noted, this toy does require 6 total AA batteries, so be prepared... The function is excellent, as the batter can trigger the release of the ball ("pull!"). It is definitely good practice in between any organized ball the kids might be involved with. It can be set up anywhere without too much fear of damage being caused by the plastic balls (although not for indoors, obviously [unless you have an unfinished basement or something]). The kids loved playing with it and did not want to ever stop--and wanted to take it with them wherever they went, which is a good sign.

First things first, this takes 6 AA batteries to function, 4 for the base and 2 for the bat. You will need all 6, as the bat has the button that triggers ball launch. On the bright side, there is no music or patience destroying sounds to this toy. The whole thing is made of plastic, base, bat and balls. So honestly I'm expecting either the bat or the balls to crack once my kid becomes proficient at it, and his able to hit it with average strength. For now, it works great and he loves it.
