I picked up the GlowCity Light Up Basketball to test for my tech and lifestyle reviews, and it’s been a hit! The ball uses two internal LEDs that activate on impact—every bounce or dribble lights it up with a bright glow (red in my case). I took it to an outdoor court at night, and it was a game-changer; the visibility is excellent, and it made playing after dark so much fun. The ball itself is a standard size 7 with a good grip, so it performs well for actual gameplay—I didn’t notice any difference in weight or balance compared to a regular basketball. The LEDs are powered by pre-installed batteries, and after a few hours of use, they’re still going strong (GlowCity claims 30 hours of life). My only issue is that the lights can be a bit distracting during serious games, but for casual play, it’s perfect. Great for kids, teens, or anyone who loves a unique sports experience! ... show more

We love this basketball. Really fun! It reminds me of Space jam where the ball lights up. It has a really nice glow into it. The black lining on the ball has worn off pretty easy. But we have a rocky driveway so that may be why.
