Great purchase for the price. Initially I wasn’t expecting much at all. But it surpassed my expectations. Even on. Low pile rug it operated fairly well; but best on a non carpeted floor. However if playing on low pile can be easily controlled for a child under 8 with no socks on as it can move faster for a child on a smoother surface and therefore cause them to chase it rather than to just play with another person. It is nicely lit/bright and easy to see in the dark and can also be played by adults and teens. Great exercise and fun for all ages overall And best for 5/6 above for eye hand coordination benefit.

JUST BUY IT!! The LLMoose Hover Soccer Ball is one of the best game/activity I have bought bar none!! We were in the middle of packing to move and we're packing up our games and my 17 year old got this out and decided to play one on one with mom! If it's snowing, raining, freezing outside or hot outside, this is a perfect indoor activity for any age! When my son had his 17th birthday with tons of teenagers, they had a blast playing all over the house. I can say that it works amazing on hardwood floor and tile because that is all we have. When the kids are rough and hit it into the baseboards there are no markers as the bumper on the soccer ball protects your house. I bought this as a set of two and gave one as a birthday gift to my 13 year old nephew and we kept one. I would have paid this price for one but heck, you get two and they are boxed individually! Stock up on these and put them in your 'birthday present" closet. You will not regret it!

Picked up this Let Loose Moose Hover Soccer Ball 2-pack for about $20 as a Christmas gift for my 9-year-old son, and it’s been a huge hit for basement playtime—giving it 4 stars for the sheer fun factor. The Fun Factor: My son absolutely loves these. We set up mini hockey nets in the basement and play full-on games that last at least 30 minutes (sometimes longer). The hover effect works great on our hard floor—glides smoothly, lights up with cool LEDs, and turns the basement into an instant soccer arena. Perfect for burning energy on cold or rainy days. Safety Features: The soft foam bumper around the edge does a good job protecting walls, baseboards, and furniture from most impacts. No marks or damage so far. Durability Issue: Here’s the downside—after just our third spirited session (dad vs. son, so we’re kicking pretty hard), the battery compartment cover on one ball snapped off and a small plastic piece inside the housing broke, making it unusable. These things can flip and bounce when you play competitively, and the plastic just isn’t built for that level of rough play. The second ball is still going strong, thankfully, since it’s a 2-pack. I suspect these are designed more for lighter play with younger kids (maybe 4-6) rather than intense 9-year-old vs dad battles. I've excepted the face that they’re not going to last forever—realistically a few months at best with our usage. Bottom line: Awesome toy that delivers tons of laughs and active play indoors, especially at this price for two. Just go in knowing it’s more “fun while it lasts” than indestructible. If you have gentler players, it’ll probably hold up longer. Still highly recommend for the enjoyment it brings!

UPDATE: Turns out my nephew in his excited impatience just inserted some random old batteries he found that were actually leaking battery fluid...my sister-in-law told me she put brand new batteries in the second hover ball (the one he hadn't opened yet) and it worked perfectly. When she inspected the first one, she discovered the old batteries. After cleaning it out and inserting new batteries in the first one, it worked perfectly as well. He's happy and I'm relieved. Great gift for him! I bought this for my nephew for Christmas. He excitedly opened it up and put batteries in it....it did not hover and it did not light up. He was basically kicking around a big piece of plastic. There was air coming out of it when turned on, but not enough for it to glide on any type of flooring and it looked like there might have been some faint flashing light coming from around the bottom rim, but not at all on the top like it shows on the packaging. Very disappointing and now I will have to get him a replacement Christmas present.....after Christmas.

These were a great hit with the kids! They work perfectly, the hover is great, and it glides smoothly over the plank flooring. It even works on cement (driveway & sidewalk). Easy to use, just needs batteries.

I ordered the 2 pack and only 1 was defective, and this I was supposed to be a CHRISTMAS GIFT. As you can see, it takes 4 batteries total, and the spring on 1 is missing and the flat plate is missing on another. So this one can only actually take 2 batteries, which means it does not work. I called Amazon customer service about it and was told that I could return the one product and get a full refund for it, but after we got off the phone I did not receive a confirmation email of such, and my refund was not started either. So I called again the next day to figure out the details of my return, since I did not get them the first time. After talking to the second agent, I was told that the only option was to return both objects, after I had already informed the agent that the other object was given as a Christmas gift so it cannot be taken back. Again she said “ after you return the 2 items you will review refund”, so I asked to speak to her supervisor, the agent then told me the supervisor was going to tell me the same thing, implying I should not make the request. I assured her I still wanted to speak to the supervisor so she rudely said “you’re being transferred”. The supervisor randomly comes onto the line and says something inaudible but it was very rude and fast and grouchy sounding, like she did not want to speak to me about this issue anyway. I asked her what she said and she replied “you have defective item right?” And I replied yes and she then told me I have to return both items, to which I informed her that I already gave the other as a gift and I could settle for a partial refund or a replacement, but she was not trying to give me any other options and insisted that their system would not allow them to give partial refunds or replacements, when I’ve received a replacement before. I said something very rude back and hung up in her face and I received an email from her threatening to deactivate my account, not knowing that I will be cancelling my subscription either way. Moral of the story, don’t buy this item in a 2 pack for 2 different humans if possible.
