This fountain can literally be used right out of the box. As others have mentioned, you add the straws on the sides via the little clamps to keep it in the middle of your bird bath. We had so much fun playing around with the different nozzles, too. Also, as others have mentioned, it is best in a larger bird bath or pond because the wind will take the stream of water with it. We just add the higher nozzles on when we are sitting outside enjoying it and when we go inside, we leave it on the bubbler setting. Our birds have finally "discovered" the bath and have been thoroughly enjoying it during these HOT summer days. We refill with clean water each day, but it has a few filters that you can change out if you need to. Highly recommend!

The fountain is beautiful. To try it out, we just put it in an empty flower pot and fell in love. My boys love putting their faces in it when playing outside; when the wind blows, it sprays out of the pot and waters nearby plants, and the different nozzles are fun for perfecting the look and sound. The same night we bought the fountain, we had a massive hail storm, and the fountain broke. The next morning I emailed customer support, and they got us back up and enjoying the fountain in no time. I can't recommend the product or the company enough. Well done!

This is a very nice solar fountain ! I placed it in a bird bath at first but the bird bath wasn't deep enough and the water would shot out. So I placed it in a planter that I use for my electric fountain, works perfectly in that. So I'll use it during the day in the planter and the evenings I can use my electric fountain. This does still work even on cloudy days it does not need full sunshine as some have mentioned in their reviews. Would definitely buy again .

This solar fountain works very well and was easy to install. It is very versatile with several nozzles available that have different spray patterns. The instructions were thorough and well illustrated. The solar battery does not have a lot of storage capacity and the pump quits rather quickly once it is out of the sun and in the shadows. The water intake pipes can be modified to fit most any small to medium size bird bath or vessel which will keep the fountain centered , preventing it from drifting around in the water.

This product actually works great. The filter is an excellent idea and convenient to clean, but, because of the pump's relative position to the power supply and the discharge from the pump relative to the filter opening it makes it difficult to get to. The close tolerance makes the pump difficult to remove from the solar panel and removing the nozzle is likewise difficult which needs to be done to remove the pump. Might I suggest two things: 1) re-position the power supply and pump and 2) include an adjustable flow rate valve for the nozzles

Seriously shocked at how well this works! Did not have high expectations but am really pleased. It does not spray water when it's shady but when the sun is out it's wonderful! The birds are loving it and I am loving that it keeps the water moving to prevent mosquitos. Gave it a 1 star for suction because there is none...it kind of floats around the bird bath.

I actually got two of these as I love water features and love even more not needing electricity to run it!! I put one in our stone birdbath but the birds did not like it one bit! They were like "What is this and how can we drink or bathe?" So I removed it and bought another bird bath from Amazon to set in the backyard with the solar fountain in it. We selected the nozzle that worked the best without losing the water too quickly. It is a nice water feature in our sitting area. I will eventually find another container for the 2nd one I bought. We do remove it from the fountain at night because it seemed as though the pump was trying to run when there is no light. We had read reviews that warned the pump might burn up if too little water or light. Plus if you aren't home to enjoy it, why leave it running?

The media could not be loaded. It was super simple to set up and worked immediately. The only thing that I don't like is that it has to have full sun to operate. As you can see in my video, my shadow even causes it to not work at full strength. So I wished they could come up with something that would allow it to work in the shade. Because I don't want to put my birdbath directly in the brightest and hottest part of my yard. I wanted to put it in a flower garden that I have made for birds and butterflies which I purposely created to get only morning sun and not the hot afternoon sun. A place the birds can cool off in the shade and have a water source. But I cant put it there because the fountain doesn't work at all in that particular flowerbed. So it kind of defeated the whole purpose of getting it. In order for it to work, I had to move it to another flowerbed that is in the direct afternoon hot sun. The birdbath is small and shallow so when the fountain is working at full strength, the water sprays out of the birdbath which quickly empties it of water. So it will only work about 45 minutes max before the water is completely emptied out. This of course isn't an issue with the fountain but with my birdbath. Otherwise this is really a cute fountain and I like that it comes with different spouts so you can change out the waterfall style. It also floats around a lot and doesn't stay in the middle of the birdbath. Although it comes with these plastic straws to use as "arms" to keep it from moving, they don't help at all. I ended up having to put a rock on each one of the arms to keep it from moving. But by doing this means that my birdbath holds even LESS water than it normally does because of the rocks taking up space.
