Okay, if this was priced as high as the one I just purchased for $35, it would be a 2 or 3 star rating for me.. BUT, this is not a bad little snuffle VALUE snuffle mat around the $10-15 range. My observations after use with 2 larger shepherd mix dogs (60 - 70 lbs): - Spend the money for a larger mat with big dogs. This one will slide all over the floor while they try to get food from the hard felt "bristles". Eventually, one just started tossing it around like one of his squeaky play toys so I can't leave it out. -A smaller or medium dog would likely be just fine with this mat. Just know, it's still going to slide around, the bottom has minimal "stickiness" to it to prevent sliding around. - It does pull up nicely if you wanted to fill it will treats, pull it tight, and take it somewhere for training or other needs, it works. But, do know the treats will fall loosely into the pulled bag if you don't pull it super tight, which takes some doing. For me, bring the treats, toss them in after you open it. - Because of the price range, I give it 4 stars. If you've never used a snuffle mat, then give this one a try. You won't break the bank and you will find out if it works for you. If it does, you can decide if you want to spend more on a larger, softer and more "sticky on the bottom" type mat.

PERFECT for my two bunnies. I've had a much much smaller snuffle mat for them that was made out of a soft felt that was easily ripped apart, pilled, flipped over, and I was always worried about them chewing or swallowing parts of it. This one solves all those issues! It's a great size and the felt is very stiff + tough, they cant chew it or rip it out. I love the rubber bottom because they always dig with their paws while foraging around so this keeps it in place. I also like that I can cinch it tighter to make it smaller or more of a challenge for them. It's deep enough that their faces disappear while they're hunting around for pellets. They've been getting their dinners in this for the last 3 nights and now they do a little dance when they see it come out. For $15 this seems totally solid.

This snuffle mat is perfect for calming down my 45-lb dog and getting him to work for his treats. Snuffling around for treats refocuses the dog and calms them and is perfect for when the Amazon delivery person decides to ring the doorbell which puts my dog into a frenzy. I tend to hide the cut up treats into the folds of the ribbons which makes it harder for him to find the treats. He initially started to use his paw to dig into the mat and thrash it, but this is a good time to train your dog and get them to calm down for more treats and snuffling.

This sniff mat works, but does not slow down my dog enough. I dropped a full cup of kibble into it, distributed it as much as possible around the circumference of every layer, and cinched it pretty tightly. It took my dog less than 10 minutes to get all her kibble out -- the cinch easily slips open as she sticks her nose into the mat, and the layers have so much space between them that she barely has to work to get her snout between them and to the kibble.

I dropped several high value salmon treats in this thing and the dog was instantly intrigued and wondering why I wasn't just giving them directly to her. Then I let her go for it. She eagerly dug around until she found them all so this definitely works for enrichment and entertainment. Obviously it's not as mentally stimulating as a puzzle but it is thick enough with all the loops that they actually have to search around for the morsels or kibbles. She now knows what it can produce for her so she gets excited when I pick it up. She's 65 pounds. I believe this would work for about any size dog.

I don't think my dog really uses this the way it's "meant" to be used, but he sure loves it anyway. He loves grabbing the many tabs, and he'll pick the whole thing up and thrash it around, or drag it around the house. I can see that it would be too small for big dogs, but for our small dog, it is great! My only concern is that he is going to chew on the drawstring, as it sticks out and is really long. But such is life with a dog!

Our Siberian Husky absolutely loves this sniffle. We put a 1-2 of his favorite treats hidden as deep as we can in the mat and he loves to find it. It’s a great way to help them calm down before bed or after a walk etc. it’s well made, very durable. It stores in in its self as it cinches into like a little satchel. It’s machine washable.
