  • It’s Awesome for a beginner Bike
I read a bunch of the other reviews before I decided to purchase. I can’t find anything wrong with the bike. Knowing it’s not a Honda or Yamaha, it’s awesome for the price. After assembly it fired right up. I let it do what I consider a “break in” period of running under varying throttle positions for about 30 minutes. As others stated, I checked all the nuts/bolts and found none to be loose. It’s for my grandson for Christmas so I plan on cranking it and running(not riding) it a few more times before then. All that said, I believe it’s an incredible purchase for the price and for him. Hope y’all have the same experience. ... show more

  • Substantial Upgrade
The BLITZ is all around superior to the Holeshot. All of the upgrades that were made to the Blitz are better quality. Easy starting, rear mud flap, dual chain, aluminum throttle housing, and of course the throttle limiter/Governor are all great. The frame is a better design as well. Mine did arrive damaged in shipping but customer service made the parts available as quickly as possible and I was able to make the repairs. I recommend with either the Holeshot or the Blitz to pull the side cover and lubricate the internal transmission chain. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for
This is going to be a long review. I bought this for my children for Christmas of 2020. It was very easy to assemble prior to Christmas day. Caution you do you have to put on your own decals which is monotonous. However, before January 2021 was over I already had to do multiple repairs. You have to check every single bolt on this motorcycle because they will wiggle out. Within the first three rides the stock clutch blew up, and after purchasing a new clutch the stock bell housing in the transmission blew apart right around the support bolt which caused the bell housing to bounce around on the replacement clutch. I replaced the transmission and clutch just to have another issue. While my child was writing the bike the back wheel locked up almost sending my kid off. I attempted to restart the bike which only ran a couple of seconds at a time and was extremely hard to pull start. Each time it became harder to pull start. I originally thought it was a carburetor issue so I continued to pull start it and adjust the carburetor until the pool starts spindles broke. I took the transmission an engine apart and found the driveshaft bolt head had snapped off and was bouncing around. This was now the first week of February 2021. I attempted to return the bike (quoting deficiencies) however, Amazon will not except motorcycles back, so I contacted SYX directly. After a few messages through email they advised me to contact them through their Facebook page. This process took a couple of weeks. Ultimately after sending photos and videos of the issues and telling SYX I was going to post a review they warranted the powertrain and sent me a new engine and transmission for free. It did take a couple weeks to receive that new power train. During the downtime I did purchase another motorcycle for my kids not knowing if SYX was going to honor the issues. Now as of May 2021 I have had no further mechanical disasters. Other issues to state, general cheapness (plastics are very shiny, don’t look like they’re Japanese competitors), The front forks are extremely flimsy and often the front tire has to be realigned because it will veer to the right after moderate use. For the most frustrating common issue is the chain. The chain comes off of the spike at least two or three times each trip no matter how delicately you adjust the tension. I suggest making sure your kids have riding boots and just removing the chain guard because you will be putting it back on at some point during your trip. I have not looked into buying an aftermarket chain. I am giving this bike a three star review even with all of the catastrophic failures because of the price. I bought this as a Christmas gift to see if my kids would be interested in dirt biking for a literally less than $400 for our first bike. Of course if they do you like it like mine did you’re in for a future of expense. Buying riding gear, bigger and better bikes, and in my case hospital trips. Additionally, you can literally buy every piece of this bike on Amazon for pennies on the dollar. Had SYX not warranted the bikes power train, you can buy the complete power train that comes with the engine, transmission, clutch, and carburetor for around $100. this bike will teach you how to wrench on it whether you want to or not and SYX did supply me with a new set up for free. This really is the perfect bike if you’re completely unsure if your kid will even like the idea of it, and is a good extra bike for when your kids have a friend or if you have multiple kids that want to ride at the same time. This bike would not remotely have a three star review if Amazon did not have same day or next day shipping for parts. ... show more

  • Overall a great starter bike for the buck.
Overall a great starter bike for the buck. If you have knowledge of bike assembly, goes together fairly easy. Check every single connection, nut, bolt and screw, many were loose and a couple missing. Check cable routes, one was hanging way too close to moving parts. Check the chain tension periodically through the assembly and breaking in period, it does stretch. Had to adjust carburetor screw due to not starting and stalling issue after the first handful of runs, then had no more issues. Mix gas/oil EXACTLY as stated, will still throw fair amount of smoke out the tailpipe. This bike will NOT handle or hold up to racing or jumps or wheelie’s, it’s built to learn and have gentle fun with, that’s it. PROS… Arrived in the time frame quoted. Starts right up every time. 7 year old grandson can pull start and pick up when tipped over all by himself. Automatic transmission great for young newbies. CONS… Assembly directions slim to none. Stickers don’t match up to plastics….use your imagination! When throttle is wide open at full speed, bogs down and stalls. Spits a great amount of oil out the tail pipe….makes a mess of the backend of bike. ... show more
