I really like the light. The square base makes it easier to place it closer to the wall than a round base. Also, the lamp light head is so light weight it doesn't pull the light head down like the old did. Infact the whole lamp is very light weight and thin.

Part of the reason I ordered this lamp was that I needed a light source in a hard-to-reach area of my cabin. I have a similar lamp from another company that is no longer available, and this seemed like a good match. As advertised, it is easy to assemble, and unlike several of other lamps of this sort, it has a square base, which makes it easier to fit into awkward places. The base is nice and heavy compared to the rest of the unit, so it stands firm on a flat surface (it has short peg-legs underneath the main base) so thicker carpeting may not be an ideal location for it. Unfortunately, it does NOT have any sort of remote control in it. There are remote-control type buttons on the head of the lamp and it turns off and on at a touch, but that's not going to help my hard to reach area! ... show more

Excellent design, shows European association, lightweight, portable, yet sturdy. One thing I would suggest, is to make the plate opening larger for cable connector to pass thru, so a section of the post can be removed for shorter height.

I didn't even remember that this had to be assembled, that's how easy it is to assemble. It is light and easy to carry around to find where you want to put it. It lights up a room well. I don't know if you'd be able to replace a lightbulb or if you just have to throw this out once it burns out, but it doesn't seem to use a normal lightbulb you'd find at Walmart. Still, this says it will last 30,000 hours, so I won't have to worry about that for a while. This is good for illuminating our face during zoom calls so we don't look weird. Well, it's not magical, we still look weird, but that's not the light's fault! ... show more
