I have had this head unit since 2021 Christmas. It is way better than the factory head unit and I own a Mitsubishi Lancer GT that comes with the frostgate sub woofer. I recommend it to anyone with the sub as audio is I guess louder and clear even with Bluetooth calls. It gives the dashboard a modern look as well. Installation was simple for the most part especially with the help of YouTube videos for me but if you are unsure of yourself just have someone do it for you. The only issue I had was when I updated it the Bluetooth connection to my phone wasn't working. After checking multiple websites and videos I eventually contacted the manufacturer and even with the time difference they were able to help me. Apparently I had to revert it back to its original software because the connection options that worked with my phone were not available with the current one. I was a little salty about it but it works great otherwise. Also I'm a guy that loves to hear his bass, and I haven't touched the equalizer. The loudness option puts the bass in and also of course raises the volume. Worth the investment. ... show more

Very easy installation. The screen is very detailed and high resolution and was better than I expected. Standard homescreen is easy to use but kinda clumsy to personalize but any launcher can be installed and used instead like Apex launcher, novalauncher and such. Using this with Torque, spotify, Waze and more and everything works great. Sound quality is very good also. The screen is very reflective but the angle of the unit is good since it does not reflect the rear windows at all. Had problem with installing the plastic ventilation thingies into the new panel since the fitting was not 100% but solved it with some filing on the edge of the ventilation. 1-2mm. Not visible after installation. Edge of the vent collides with the steelframe for the screen. ... show more

Got this for 2014 evo with Rockford. I decided to do a full stereo overhaul on my evo and went full aftermarket Rockford fosgate everything. Someone said the sound quality isn’t great and maybe they didn’t find the eq settings or got a crap unit but the sound quality with my aftermarket amp and speakers are comparable to my 7000$ Klipsch Dolby atmos system in my living clarity wise. Very nice and crispy sound. I have no tints on my car and it looks as bright as you’d expect an iPad or phone screen to look against the sun which is good. Every app works fine. Using my hotspot from my phone to run the apps and music and YouTube vids all work fine. The absolute only issue i have with this unit is that it only has front and subwoofer rca outputs, no rear. So i had to use splitters for the rear channels on my amp. Also a massive thanks to the seller for going out of their way to make sure i got this unit fast because i was on a bit of a time crunch. Since installed in a profesional music shop. Bluetooth not working for the apple car play. USB not working for connecting apple car play. States USB not connecting. Radio after turning on no buttons work. Volume, Main menu and power not working. Drove 30min to my house and nothing worked. Do not buy, not worth the $600+. ... show more

At first I wasn't going to give it a review I personally had a lot of complaints. But after tweaking some things and realizing this thing does actually have wireless Android auto I'm really happy with the purchase. Don't get me wrong theirs some gripes like how you don't control the factory sub like before you actually have to play with the equalizer and know what your doing instead of twisting a dial to turn the sub up or down. Or the fact all the usbs will not charge your phone at all. You can send data from your phone to the unit but it will not charge your phone period it won't lose charge but it doesn't gain anything either. Other then that it solves a very fundamental issue for me. 1st I drive an 08 which had no hands free system in it... and it's a 5 speed... so trying to talk on the phone if you had to was near impossible. 2nd the audio quality. This new unit sounds incredible I can hear every bit of the song the sub is perfectly balanced and not overpowering and thumps really hard when it's suppose to the equalizer does actaully work however as mentioned the dial to adjust the sub is just a placibo unless you get an aftermarket in which case who knows if it works but you don't need it if your an audiophile which if your purchasing this you probably are. 3rd navigation. When you use apple or Android the navigation on this unit is fanominal you still control Spotify while you drive.. for some reason does not give you directions on a turn by turn... but if you look past that small little detail which could just be a me problem the fact that it has it is awesome. And lastly number 4 on my list is a back up cam for those of us who struggle with depth perception. All in all not a bad way to spend money to modernize your evo or lancer very very easy to install lots of videos showing you what to do just wish there was a way to trouble shoot little issues with it better or contact a customer support if you needed it. But so far no issues out of the thing as far as it working ... show more
