  • The go-to cheap alternative for a Pro Controller
Ordered this controller almost a year ago when I bought my switch to use temporarily until I got an actual pro controller. I have to say: It works so good that I find myself swapping over to it or even using it more than Nintendo's official controller. The biggest problem I have with the official Pro Controller is that in terms of analog stick movements, the movements are too sensitive. For most games, this is not an issue but for games like Smash Ultimate or Mario Party Superstars where you need the right Smash input or precise movements (Paths of Peril,) the extra sensitivity results in different tilt inputs being registered if the stick isn't fully dead-on in the right direction, or causes you to fall off the course easily. I like using the GCHT Gaming controller over it because it gives me more control over the inputs I want to do and to me puts it close to the Gamecube Controller in terms of functionality. Have not had any issues with analog stick drift yet or buttons not working, so it's still going strong. All in all, I definitely recommend this controller to any one on a budget that doesn't want to drop $60 on the official controller. August 7th 2023 Update - This controller to this day has not had a single issue whatsoever. All the buttons work and every thing. I know people aren't usually big on 3rd-party companies especially if it comes from China (products can be hit or miss,) but I still stand by that for the Switch, this is the best off-brand Switch controller you can get for a good deal. So good, in fact, that I will be trying out their Wired Controller for PC and Switch since my Dualshock 4's buttons have started going bad. ... show more

  • Already my second purchase! Great controller!
I bought the white, blue and red one of these controllers first, so I have had a bit of time to test most of the features. I don’t have much use for the Turbo, but I tested it and it works fine. Also I don’t have any Amiibo to test that part, but since everything else works really well I’m assuming that is functional too. As for the elements I can review: Comfort and feel: I love the feel of this controller! The buttons, triggers and especially the thumbsticks are really good. You might find the facebuttons a little clicky, but I genuinely like the feel. The controller also has some nice weight to it and the grip parts being textured is a really nice touch. Vibration: Not as precise as the Joycons. I initially thought the vibration had no range, but I was playing the wrong game. It actually is quite good, especially since you can adjust the overall intensity. I preferred it at the lowest setting, with 100% being too much for me. Look: This is a really nice looking controller. I have had many controllers over the years for many different consoles, and this is one of the nicest to look at and to hold. The only one I prefer is the white one of this same controller ;) Overall: Great product. I’m very happy with my purchase. Will probably get one more for myself and 2 more for a friend. Bonus: Works great on my Macbook Pro on OpenEmu too, which was a pleasant surprise as I tried installing a bunch of different things to get an Xbox 360 controller synched to no avail. ... show more

  • It's probably a good controller if you're used to xbox controllers
It's not too hard to tell by looking at it, but this controller favors an Xbox One controller design over a Switch Pro Controller design. I was initially swayed to this controller due to its full features such as turbo, NFC, and pretty good rumble actually. But its long term prospects didn't look very good for me as within the first day I found the buttons to have much too sharp edges that made my thumb start hurting at the tip within the hour. It's likely a combination of both the size of the buttons and how sharply angled those tips are. The A button is the most unfortunate because due to its sloped design it's basically prodding you right in the thumb. It's extremely unfortunate because the controller is in fact a very, very good controller. It feels nice to hold, it's got decent weight if a bit on the noticeably lighter side. But I really can't get past the buttons. I forced myself to use it for as long as possible and I got better performance out of my PDP Wired Afterglow controller in the games I was playing, so I just wound up going back to it while I wait on the next controller I've ordered. This may not be a very large issue for other people which is why I'm giving it a 4 star rating because other than the buttons, it's a fantastic controller if an xbox style is specifically what you're looking for. If you're not looking for that, it would probably be better to forego some features, or spend a bit more on a controller that maintains the Switch Pro Controller style as you might find that it will matter in some games that require a lot of button mashing. ... show more

  • Excellent quality for generic price!
Fantastic for the cost. I thought for a while it had gone haywire, but I figured out I had accidentally programmed one of the M buttons on the bottom, and the manual showed how to clear the button, no problem. Bought 2 and both work way better than the basic Switch controller.

  • Underrated
This controller worked exceedingly well up until it was dropped one time from a considerable height of at least 8 fluid to the ground It was a carpeted surface but still 8 ft is pretty high. The joystick on the left got messed up from that but until then this was a very cheap but underrated controller. ... show more
