So thankful I found this! My airwrap system wouldn’t hold the attachments anymore. After researching I found what I thought was the issue but Dyson didn’t have a part available. Then I found this on Amazon. After some hesitation, I wasn’t sure it would fit my model, I purchased it. It’s a little frustrating getting to the switch, definitely lay everything out as you take it apart. But it WORKED my attachments all stay on the dryer and work perfectly! OEM part. Perfect fit and solved the problem. Attachment does not fall of after the installation. But the installation is not easy. You have to open the whole thing to install this small piece.

This part worked perfectly. I would have given 5 stars if this tiny piece of plastic was lower priced. The installation video that came with it was super helpful although it's hard to not ruin the switch buttons in the process.

    • Expensive for what it is
I ordered it out of no choice since the latch is broken on my gf dyson but the price for this item just doesn’t make any sense, I had to return it since the dyson completely stopped working and I have no use for it

    • It fixed it but it was a complex repair.
This fixed the problem on my wife's dryer of the attachments being loose and coming off. I will say this, this repair is not for someone that is not mechanically inclined. It is a very in depth repair and you have to almost completely disassemble the entire unit. It also requires very specific tools one of which is a very small torx. The QR code on the package that links to the video is a great help but understand, this takes a couple hours to complete and is complex. However, it did fix the issue. Not sure what a repair cost would be at a Dyson shop, but that would be an option for those that cant do it. ... show more

Took about an hour to replace the part but it’s only because you have to take apart the entire airwrap. The video was extremely helpful and saved me the $500 of having to replace the whole unit just because my attachments kept falling off.
