Recently traveled to central america with my new swiss gear backpack-- one of my two "carry-on" items on a JetBlue flight. Backpack performed well-- cavernous main compartment and lots of handy little compartments including a passport pocket. I kept a full change of clothing, a jacket, a laptop and lots of personal items in the backpack-- and didn't fill it to more than 50% capacity. I used both straps as I hiked around cities, jungle, farmland and volcanoes. The backpack was extraordinarily comfortable and sturdy. I also appreciated the subdued color as I exited the airport-- I felt the bag was less of a target to thieves. Highly recommend. Note-- my only issue is that I owned a previous version of this swissgear pack-- the passport pocket had been labeled as "RFID protected." The passport pocket on this newer model is not labeled RFID protected...

It holds a lot and you can loosen or tighten it to hold more or less things. I love the inner pocket. Was great in a recent trip to Europe where space was at a premium. Thanks Swiss Gear!

Great as an extra travel bag if all you need to access during the trip is your laptop and tickets. The bag opens up like a suitcase, handy for when you arrive, not great for accessing things while on the road. Buy if you need extra luggage room, and don’t need to access contents while on the move. I opted for a regular backpack so I could access stuff while traveling.

I’m one of those people that buys backpacks as a hobby and in the quest for the “perfect fit”. I think this may be my last one! It comes with everything you’d look for in a backpack. Pockets, smooth sliding zippers, lightweight, versatile carrying style, among others. I can carry my iPad, 2 phones, 3 earbuds, Rog ally, 15’ Asus laptop, Nintendo switch, hygiene products, Xbox Elite 2 controller with the case with room to spare. The only complaint would be that the zippers tend to come open but that’s because I have multiple bag ornaments on them. Great purchase and thank you for not letting me bleed more money by purchasing more !!

I took a two-week trip with just a hard-shell carry-on and this backpack. Everything was so convenient and at my finger-tips. I had it packed to the brim, and neither it nor I showed any signs of strain. It was very comfortable and easily maneuverable, even for me at nearly 70-years old.

I use this as my carryon for international travel. This held up really well, and doesn't show signs of wear despite going through security and getting tossed around in the overhead bins. This holds more than you might think. A full weekend worth of clothes, your laptop, various chargers, water bottle, headphones, chargers, battery pack...you get the idea. It's perfect because I don't have to worry about not having a change of clothes if I hit my destination before my checked baggage. Of course, I also use it for actual weekend trips where I only have to pack this bag. This is actually my second of these bags. The original is still very functional, but 5 years in, it's starting to show some wear. Not losing any function, just that the original bright red is starting to look a little grungy. I still use it for personal travel. I think that in itself is probably the highest praise I can offer.

I purchased my first one about six years ago from a department store. I have packed this bag every weekend going to the lake, it’s been to Florida three times, Mexico, once, and two cruises. I finally just broke the back zipper and decided to buy a second one. The front has a hard case cover for sunglasses or reading glasses, etc. It has multiple zippers on the outside small compartments and it has a laptop padded on the back. You can keep the backpack straps inside the zipper compartment and carry it like a regular bag or you can take them out and use it as a backpack. The inside has a mesh zipper screen to keep clothes, safe and secure from not moving around on one side and the other side has a pouch for other items and it has two straps that are adjustable to secure more clothes. If you don’t have a large amount of clothing, you can zip the outer zipper to compress the bag and if you have more, you can unzip it to expand it. This is my go to bag for everything.
