I really like this Swingline Trimmer. It's very easy to use, lightweight and easier to store than the big, heavy ones. It performs well, can easily cut ten sheets of paper at a time. I've used it for a lot of paper crafts, cutting heavy cardstock with ease and accuracy. The paper is easy to line up, so you get satisfying results. I've had quite a few trimmers, and they never really lived up to my expectations. I have a very expensive Martha Stewart trimmer which is a huge disappointment, difficult to line up and and the cuts are often slightly off, which drives me crazy. This trimmer far surpasses that one, for less than half the price. I'd highly recommend for scrapbookers and other crafters, for students (with parental supervision, of course). There is a lockable safety latch on the side to prevent accidents while not in use. Very pleased with this product. ... show more

Pros: Lightweight Effective, it cuts paper well, compared to a slightly larger scale guillotine paper cutter I've used before It has these lines all over that helps ensure accuracy, in theory Cons: It's too large, which is a good thing when you're using it, not so great when you're not, which is most days of the year for me. I tried positioning the papers using the boxes, and they didn't really come out accurately cut. I now rely on just my visual estimation of the cut line, which works fine. Lastly, I really hate that it only allows a few pages at a time. If you attempt to cut more, it will not cut them evenly. This is not really a con against them or the product because they do absolutely set the limit prior to purchase, it's just a con for me or anyone who tends to need to cut a lot of pages at once. BUT it is the most affordable, better quality products out there, so until I can afford more, I'm happy to have this cutter to use. ... show more

    • The 15 inch Guillotine
I love it. I was struggling with an 8 inch one for a long time before I finally gave in and bought a proper guillotine. For the price, it exceeds my expectations. I will let you all know now that I don't cut more than two sheets of cardstock at a time. I don't really have a reason to do so. I mostly make cards and sometimes journals. I have not tried cutting chipboard yet but, I have cut some thick cardboard and have had no issues. I guess if there was something that was bothering me about this guillotine is that there is nothing to hold the paper down besides your own hand (which can shift the paper if you are unstable), those of you who have a Tonic guillotine know what I am referring to. Otherwise, this cuts very well. You don't need much pressure to cut through paper (gravity works in your favor), though I did need to use a little bit of force to cut though the cardboard. It will most likely be the same for the chipboard. OH...one more thing.... The ruler on the board and at the top is exactly 11 inches. If you line a 12x12 piece of paper right on the cut line, you will get 12 inches. Also, each square is a 1/2 inch. ... show more

Pretty good paper cutter. Lightweight, does cut through several sheets with no issues. Like every other paper cutter I've ever used, it tends to cut longer cuts not quite straight, but maybe that's just operator error.
