I purchased a set last year, and just bought this again after trying and researching some other led light options. This great set lets you assemble in many configurations as needed. They are lightweight and don't get too hot, so mounting tape will work on glass, and zip ties are easy on the metal wire shelves. The recent addition of the optional reflectors takes the glare off your eyes and directs more light onto the plants. The picture with the clear glass shelf has the reflectors on, attached with Scotch/Gorilla brand clear mounting tape; and the picture with the wire metal shelf has no reflectors, attached with zip ties. The lights are warm, but not too yellow/orange. The succulents, hoyas, african violets, orchids, and pepperomias all seem to love this. Looking forward to trying these for vegetables starts next spring. Tips/notes: Unless you have low light plants or your shelf is very shallow/short, 2 rows of lights per shelf is probably ideal. There's a saran-wrap like cover to protect the lights, be sure to peel it off. The double-sided white mounting tape that came with this didn't work for me when I attached the lights under the kitchen cabinets. Not sure if the issue is from the tape being too weak, or the MDF cabinet surfaces not being ideal- however the tape noted above does work with these on glass for sure. You may need to double up on certain areas for the tape to ensure contact is made on a good portion of the light strip. Zip ties if possible are the easiest for attachment, removal, and cable management.

I've had these lights for about a month so far. I'll update the review if anything changes So far, these lights are fantastic! They're such a nice color and they work so well for taking plant pictures. I had to move my big aloe because it was burning from the light (too much light, not from heat). The lights are somewhat warm but definitely nowhere near hot when working! I have them on a timer for 16 hours during winter and my plants look really happy! The succulents are nicely sun stressed, where they were all completely green beore I got these. Downside? I have to water them more often! The lights are really good and bright, so the plants are drying out easier from having so much light. They're a nice yellow light, compared to my white daylight bulbs and my purple plant lights, definitely my favorite because they make my plants look so nice and happy! If I ever get more shelves and space for plants, I'll be buying more! I got my set for $65, but the price seems to change around - every time I've looked at the listing, it's a different price. UPDATE Nov 27, 2020 I still love these lights! They're on a timer for around 10-12 hours a day right now, the 16 hours was too much for some of my plants. They're doing great! Unfortunately the sticky tape stuff doesn't stay well, so the one I had on my ceiling fell off (several times) a while back and so I have normal LED bulbs in a lamp on that one now because I can't use the mounting hardware in my apartment. The other ones are going strong, and I have a couple I'm not using now so I know I have backups if any fail me.

I purchased these to use with my Altifarm 3 tier. I couldn't source the OEM light kit and I am placing my farm where it won't get natural sunlight. I was able to use magnetic hooks and plant hanging chain (separate purchases) and with the included clips, connectors, power cords, and end plugs I have a lighting system that seems superior to the OEM one. Pros: the light is 2' and my gardens are 30" The light shines to all corners of the farm the connectors make the lights easy to set up out of the box the lights are very light weight easy to install and handle. I didn't have to read anything to figure out how to use them even though they are full spectrum, they shine white, vs. the blurple of most grow lights. after being on for hours, they remained cool to touch, even the metal housing for the light. I don't fear that my plants will be burned there were plenty of options for hanging and installation. I wasn't worried once I saw the included parts that I would be able to mount them switches on the power supply, and multiple power supplies and connector options make powering them easy and versatile to different grow needs the lights are definitely bright, but not so much so that they hurt my eyes each light consists of two strips angled outward, vs. one strip pointing downward. This gives greater coverage from one light. I don't really have any cons at the moment. I will report back in time to advise how they hold up and perform to help my plants grow.

SETUP: I started herbs, vegetables, and flowers from seed. The plants were on a wire shelving unit, and I grabbed some twine and hung the lights from the respective shelf above. I tied slip-knots and slid the lights to the desired height, which allowed me to keep the lights at the appropriate distance (2-6in depending on the plant). Each 2ft light overlaid a 10x20 flat containing varying seed cell inserts. TECHNICAL: I don't have a luxmeter to actually measure the output, but I can tell you that the power consumption was closer to 20W instead of 24W. I had these running anywhere from 12-16hrs per day with a smart outlet acting as a timer. They had no individual diodes go bad. They do get a tad warm, but heat dissipation is good with the aluminum backing and the heat generation is nothing compared to fluorescent bulbs. They are silent, no buzzing or humming. The cables to daisy-chain these lights into series work well and I routed them in a way to provide a professional look. There is a limit to the number that can be in series, but with only one set of these, you won't reach that limit. AESTHETICS: The lights look fine and have an aesthetically pleasing enclosure. The quality of the light is nice and I don't mind having my bedroom illuminated by them. I debated between a broad-spectrum grow light system with one containing only blue and red lights and am glad I went the way I did. RESULTS: These lights produced wonderful plants. The seedlings were ready for outdoor planting before the last frost date, so I'll need to adjust for next year. Very happy with the purchase and will be using them for years to come.

I'm looking for plant lights that are usable as normal lighting, and as such it's incredibly important to me to find plant lights that match the color temperature of my current rooms. I get that that's a tall order since most grow lights are either pink or don't specify color temps at all, but I purchased these ones specifically because they were listed as 3700K. I have them in a room with 3500K lights and they are SIGNIFICANTLY more orange/yellow - there's no way these are 3700K / daylight bulbs, they're much closer to 2700K (incandescent / warm yellow). I've attached a picture to show the color difference between a 3500K lamp and these grow lights (which isn't perfect as the camera is auto-correcting to make everything slightly more white, but should hopefully serve as a decent comparison of the yellow tint). I'm going to try using a color gel/filter over them to blue the grow lights up a bit, but if that doesn't work, I'll probably have to return these, which is a shame. Aside from that, the quality is great - they're super bright, hard to look at directly & not too hot, the 3M command strips worked great for me (I think folks forget or don't know you really should hold them in place for 30 seconds and not just slap them on and walk away), the setup is super easy, and the extra hardware provided is nice. If you're looking to match colors with a 2700K room (I prefer more daylight/natural whites personally), then by all means, I can definitely recommend these grow lights.

I received my package and started setting up my first couple lights in a series, they were GREAT, very bright and versatile. When I went to add a light to that series one end seemed to not be secured well and flickered then wouldn't light at all. I contacted the company thru Amazon and I had to send a picture showing that it wasn't functioning and the QC code and they shipped me a replacement promptly. I plugged that new one in and the other couple in a separate series and they all are working super well so far. What I LOVE about these is the versatility. you have 6 fixtures to work with and connecting cords for each and 3 fixture-to-outlet cords so you can run all 6 in one series or 2-2-and 2 or 4-1 and 1 or whatever configuration you need for the circumstance, AND once you create your setup you can change to a different configuration when needs change. They also have clips that hook onto the back side of the fixture for hanging them. A single light fixture from this company is way brighter than a dual bulb florescent fixture I picked up at the hardware store last year. They also have removable reflectors for each fixture so you can decide if you want to use them or not. Also super light weight so I am hanging them from a drop ceiling grid with no strain. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase, I hope they hold up well over time, I will eventually know, but cant speak to that yet. So far I highly recommend this product and the customer service was good at the company.

I've used these every year for the past five years for starting seeds indoors and they are still working great. I'd say I got my money's worth. I love that the cords interconnect and you can change the orientation based on your needs. I took an old wooden bookshelf and installed one light at the top of each shelf to shine down on my seedlings. They're very easy to install. I screwed in the metal clips that hold the lights, popped them in, and added the cords. I used cup hooks to conceal the cords along the edges of the shelf. I then installed a plug in timer so the seedlings get enough bright light to thrive until I plant them outside.

This year I decided to start growing hot peppers and used my traditional T5 grow light and seedling starter kit that I have previously used for starting other herbs, tomatoes, etc... The peppers germinated and started to do okay but were not looking great. After some research, figured out my problem was not only that my seedlings were not getting enough light but were also not growing at the right temperature, so I needed to build an enclosure of some type to help retain the heat. Purchased these lights and I was impressed with the overall quality, packaging, and accessories including for mounting options. One piece of advise that seemed consistent regarding LED grow lights is that the expected life could be extended by ensuring they are able to dissipate the heat build up. With this in mind, I decided to mount the lights on a galvanized steel pegboard (https://www.amazon.com/Wall-Control-30-P-3232GV-Galvanized-Pegboard/dp/B001J6FSDS/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=metal+pegboard&qid=1583116190&sr=8-2). You are able to purchase a pack of nuts that fit the screws included with these lights and directly mount the lights to this steel pegboard. Also, go ahead and buy a pack of S hooks and chain and you can mount the entire "fixture" so it can hang from the ceiling. Placed the peppers and heating pad in a plastic storage container lined with aluminum foil. Hung the assembled fixture just above the storage container and as you can see from the pictures, the peppers have really been thriving under this grow light and in these conditions. The combination of the heating pad and heat from the grow lights keep the container about 85 - 90 degrees. The before and after pictures of the peppers are only 1 week apart! Highly recommend these lights, especially for the price to performance I have seen with them so far. P.S. - The steel pegboard is fairly warm on the top. Warm enough to actually use as a heating surface to germinate more seeds!
