I can keep it right next to my work station on my work cart, handy! And it is very easy to operate. I read one person's negative review because, she said the paper bunched up and utterly destroyed her print. Well, I must say the first or second time I cut paper it started doing that, but I was lucky to notice that a portion of the blade still had some tape on it. So be forewarned! I keep receipts for tax purposes - sometimes I print them from emails sent to me. Instead of filing the entire 8.4x11 sheets of paper, I wanted something to trim them to the size that just includes the pertinent information on the paper. This mini paper cut works perfectly for this - very lightweight and the blade is quite sharp. After one or two uses, I learned that in order to get the best cut, place the paper cutter on a solid surface and then press firmly down on the blade carriage and run over the paperback and forth a couple of times. I wish it was easier to see where the line is precise. If I'm just looking to cut in a straight line, it's great. but.. the track that the blade is meh, sometimes it gets caught on the paper, and other times I need to press harder just for a clean cut.
