I throw the cover away every spring and buy a new one every summer for the fall closing. This is the 3rd time I am buying this cover and it works great for that. It seems to hold up to a New England winter just fine for the single season and that's all I ask. Let's face it, If you are paying $60 bucks for a pool cover, is it reasonable to expect years of service ? The answer is definitely NO. Listen, I tried buying the "heavy duty" 300 dollar pool cover with a "lifetime" warranty or whatever and get maybe 2-3 years out of it. The third season it is unwound all over the place. i asked myself... WHY ? It takes forever to clean the used cover, dry it, fold it, store it.... for $60 bucks I roll all the rotted leaves and crud up and head to the dump. New one spotless and folded nicely in the box ready for the fall... So take my advice, If your paying less than say $200 for the pool cover, don't expect it to go nicely more than one season in a northern US winter and then judge it harshly if it don't. ... show more

Unfortunately, all light to medium above ground pool covers only last 2 to 3 seasons. The weak point is always that the eyelets break away regardless of brand. We live in a high wind winter area. It is what it is and we accept that. Once again, this is not a negative criticism of anyone company.

Was what it said it was this one has actually held up better than others I have purchased in the past. People think these will last a long time but they are mistaken even more expensive one will only last a season or two but at this price it’s cheaper to just get a new one then pay the thousands of dollars to get one that will last 5 to 10 years if your lucky ... show more

As others have said, it's way too thin. When I opened the box, I figured I'd get one season out of it. Nope. I found a massive hole in it after 4 months (I just found the hole, it may have been there after a month). I also suspect it's leaky at seams, as I had the cover bone-dry with my cover pumps, and then with no rain, the cover pumps ended up submerged again by the end of the day. This was also a mild winter. Not a lot of snow at all, and not much rain. Temps were barely below freezing this year, so it should not have been too brittle, either. Spend a little more on a better cover, this one is not likely to be worth it. Even if you save a few bucks, is it worth it to open your pool and find it full of junk because the cover tore halfway through winter? Unnecessary update 06/14/16: While filling the pool, like I do every year, I attempted to remove the slack from the cover by pulling off the ballast, then pulling the cover tighter over the pool surface before returning the ballast. Well on the first attempt, the cover disintegrated in my hand, leaving a flaky plastic dust on my hands and a new hole in the cover. I also realize now that my pool is taking much longer to fill, because I stupidly thought I was removing rainwater from the cover with a cover pump, but was actually removing pool water that soaked through the cover. I can't get over how bad this cover is. ... show more

Had to get a new one cover as mice made holes in the old one. We were late in closing up our pool for the season so local stores didn't have much inventory left. Based on the reviews that the regular one was really thin, we tried the Supreme green one thinking it may be a bit better. Its still really thin but so far its doing the job. We haven't had snow or ice yet, so we'll see how it holds out into winter. We generally don't have luck with being able to use covers multiple years in a row so if it gets us through until we reopen it, then I'll be happy. ... show more
