I slept on a 6 inch 100% latex mattress for the last 16 years. It was at its end of life and the latex was tearing and breaking down. In addition, I am mostly a side and stomach sleeper, and I'm in my 60s now. Despite being very athletic I had started getting numbness and weakness on my whole right side. Time for an upgrade... I got the Starry Night 12 inch mattress on Prime Deal Days. Mine is made in Korea- which is a good thing- newer versions may be made in China? This mattress is soft enough for me to sleep on my side without any complications. Sleeping on my side I do not get any numbness, and the mattress is firm enough for me to sleep on my stomach in complete comfort without sinking in too deep. It has been fine when I do sleep on my back also without any back pain, and the support level feels just right for that too. Lying on my back with the bed raised or flat watching movies on the big screen has been super comfortable for hours. The mattress does not get me hot. Finally, I do not feel the pocketed coil springs ever! I am 5'11" at 230Lbs. There are only a few reviews of this mattress version that is made in South Korea on YouTube. Those reviews are great. Lastly, some great news is that this mattress contains no fiberglass. It did not outgas, and I was able to sleep on it 8 hours after unboxing- it plumped up completely within 1 hour! This is a very decent mattress. It's firm and feels like what it is. It's by no means a high end luxury mattress. But it's about right for the price tag. I sleep extremely well on it. It reached its impressive full size within 3 or 4 hours as far as I could tell. It feels like your sleeping on well supported memory foam. Not a deeply plush soft cloud; you'll need to drop another 500 more for one of those. But if you're not looking for complete luxury, you'll be fine with this. ... show more

I’m really glad I purchased this mattress. First time buying a mattress in a box and I was fully prepared to think “meh it’s just for now- it was only $300 ish” however after sleeping on it for 3 weeks, I’m smitten. Pros: -great edge control -comfortable -easy to move around when it’s shipped (although it is heavy!!) -no funky smell/ inflated to full size quickly -I feel very supported while I’m sleeping- I’m a side and stomach sleeper-typically- no hip or shoulder pain! -you/your bedmate won’t feel moving/shifting/getting up- great movement isolation -the pattern on the mattress cover is cute! A couple cons- by no means deal breakers imo -definitely firm- if you’re looking for more plush, grab a mattress topper for this. -it does run hot- a cooling mattress topper would help this out quite a bit. My wife and I bought this after a friend suggested this model. In terms of firmness, on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the firmest, it's probably about a 7. It's actually soft, but you can tell quickly that it's not super soft like a hotel mattress. We wanted something that was not like a hotel bed because I had lower back pain from an injury. Overall, this mattress sort of covers both areas of being soft and supportive. Some people may need more support than what this provides, and some people might want more softness. For those who want a bit of both, this does it well. I don't wake up and shift positions frequently from discomfort with this mattress, so that's a benefit I appreciate. The price for value is also quite good. We actually spent much more money on a mattress from Costco that wasn't better in terms of quality. The Costco mattress was too soft, so we looked at this option among others. In terms of smell, there really wasn't much of any, which is what I prefer. Just a very subtle plastic-like smell for a day or so. Considering the price, which was about $300 less than other mattresses we bought in the past, we're quite satisfied with it. ... show more
