For the last 20 years I have had to replace our mattress about every as my wife (Goldilocks) claimed "this bed is too soft" and "this one is too hard". Well Goldilocks met her match with this mattress. It truly is a medium firmness mattress, neither too hard or too soft. Now if I can just get these damned bears to go home... Be warned that the box is seriously heavy (70-80 pounds) and there are NO handles, so moving it is a real treat. The media could not be loaded. After a solid ten years of using an already used mattress we got to a point where we could no longer pull any life from our king mattress. I searched online for a long period of time prior to arriving to this choice. Here are some things to consider prior to purchasing: First: Purchasing a mattress online is a viable option if you know what you are looking for. It is also normally a less expensive option than going to the big box stores. Second: If you are unsure of what you are looking for in a mattress I would suggest going into a store and trying a few out to see what you are in the market for and then purchasing online. Third: I would highly recommend a mattress in a box, this is my second purchase of one and I have yet to be unsatisfied, but DO YOUR RESEARCH! Things to Note: We decided on the 10” hybrid mattress, this bed is great for those who are restless sleepers or those who live with restless sleepers. The mattress allows for “motion isolation”, I am not sure if I am sleeping better because of the new mattress or because I no longer wake up every time my husband moves but so far it has been perfect for our needs. Bounce: If you are looking for a bed with a little bounce the bed still has coils that provide the “give” that you are looking for in the bed. Firmness: If you are looking for a firm bed, this bed has the memory foam in it so it has a less “give” than a coil only mattress but provides a happy medium. Plushness: I wouldn’t consider this bed as “plush” as others but we have a down topper that allows us the fluffy feel we are looking to have. Support: A big part of our search was looking for a bed that was firm enough to give support but soft enough to conform to our body’s. This mattress allows for the sleeper to lie on their back or side and we have felt no discomfort. My husband also has severe back pain and he has had no issues adjusting to the new mattress. Packaging: The mattress, came well packaged with a “paper cutter” type accessory to allow for easy removal of the plastic. Take care when moving, this mattress is heavy! Smell: I know that there is a concern with weird “smells” from certain manufacturers, this mattress had no odd odors. Unravel: Once you roll out the mattress it will feel “bouncier” than normal, allow the mattress a few hours to fully adjust to being out of the package before sleeping on it. Lastly, if you have a restless partner, need a new mattress, and want to have a mattress that offers a little bit of everything, I would recommend this mattress. The media could not be loaded. This is my first bed in a box, I was a bit nervous about buying a mattress online but luckily a friend had this same mattress and he kept telling me how comfortable it was. I wanted a bed in a box so I could bring it to my new house in my car so we could sleep in our new house the same day we closed. The bed was packaged down nice and small but being a king size it was still almost 7' long. I was expecting it to be folded in half but I'm guessing that only 100% foam mattresses can be packaged like that. It still fit in our little hatchback car with the back seat folded down and the front seat pushed and leaned forward though. The bed is heavy at about 100 pounds but it was still manageable. I carried it 2 flights of stairs and down a set as well all by myself. It was really cool watching it expand and even the first night I was shocked at how good we slept. Truly a comfortable bed that I'm really happy with. Now I just have to get a platform base and the rest of my furniture when our home housing goods shipment gets here but after a few weeks I can say I love this bed. ... show more

This is my first time I've felt compelled to write a review on Amazon--this mattress is really wonderful. I am a side sleeper and it provides the perfect balance of cushion and support. I tend to sleep hot and have had no issues with being overly warm. I had an IKEA mattress before which was priced similarly, and this one absolutely blows it out of the water. I actually think it's even more comfortable than my boyfriend's $1000 Serta mattress. Just be forewarned that the box is really heavy and awkward--two people are definitely needed to lift it. Finally after much hesitant I bought a mattress in a box ! I was very nervous about making a decision because you really can't tell if you are going to like something by laying on it for 3 minutes in a store. And, very nervous about buying a mattress online, sight unseen. The mattress box was left at my house door. After unboxing, the mattress was heavy! After opening it I left it for more than 24 hours for it to completely open up. I have been using it since more than a week now I can say I love it. I am a back and side sleeper and my husband is back sleeper.. we both like it and it's comfortable..It's a very nice quality Hybrid mattress. It is medium-soft.. with great support . I went with hybrid as with comfort I was looking for support as well. The mattress is huge Can't believe how did it come in a box ! And heavy ... It's a great deal for this amazing price (KING and hybrid ) Happy with purchase ! ... show more
