This is very nice. I leave butter on the counter all the time since it doesn't spoil in the air conditioning. It's cute, keeps any gnats or flies or whatever out of it. But don't care for the knife. I just use an old Santa one but will get a different one soon. I don't care for the wholes.

Metal dish with a wooden top. The lid secures very nicely and tightly. The butter knife is nice, sits in it's slot well, tho I wish it had a magnet or a strap to hold it in place.
