So I had one of these before from an online shopping company but it broke within a year. This one is made of plastic rather than wood so hopefully it will last longer. It has a textured surface and it was easy to set up. The springs on the arms are very sturdy so it took a little effort as the arm of my chair is wide.. The fit is snug and stays in place. I have used it for meals and to place drinks and so far so good. It can hold a medium sized plate probably about 8-9drinking glasses( just to give you and idea of its capacity. It is great for tv remotes and it can substitute for a writing area too!! I just gave a lower star rating at the end as it feels like a cheap plastic. It is worth buying though and clean up is a breeze. The non slip coaster that it comes with is really handy too ... show more

I am really satisfied with this product. It serve the purpose for which I intended to use it for. It is made of plastic and nice quality but not too thick or heavy. I purchased this just for the sole purpose of attaching it to my recliner for a cup of coffee and a place to set my remote and phone. It clips on and adjusts easily. Holds firmly into place as well. It came with a rubber coaster, which looks like a slice of lemon. The coaster works well and is washable. I was thankful for this little cute coaster because I can set heavy cups of coffee or a tall glass of milk on the tray with NO worries. Fits perfectly on the arm of my living room chairs. I thought it was going to be real wood but it's plastic. blends in VERY well with my dark wood though! The arms seem to be able to adjust tightly to a multitude of arm sizes and they are bluntly serrated so they grip and don't slide!

The media could not be loaded. Small but hold a lot and fits the arm of the chair. Holds all my snacks and drinks. It is stable and very sturdy. It is so cute and adds to the look of my couch. I measured my couch arm and it was 8" wide and this was documented at 8" but I compared it to a Pittsburgh Steelers one I had and was slightly disappointed with this one with the remote control fit. See image. The outlines of both polygons match when put back to back but there seems to be more room on the Steelers one (see image). That's a deal breaker and was annoying while watching TV. I guess I'll use my collector's item Steelers one and probably return this one. Steelers also has real heavy wood and stronger springs but these are non-ISSUES. For many people, this will be a fine, fine product and a good value for the price so I gave it 5-stars. Why the RC fit a little better? I think the lips of the Steeler one are more vertical and this one might be slightly angled - I didn't measure lip to lip. Very minor if your RC is smaller. ... show more

This little thing is much better than I expected! It’s quite sturdy and seems to stay in place even though I have mine over an armrest slip cover (though you CAN knock it off the armrest if you aren’t paying attention, or kick it off if you’re having a nap). It holds quite a bit with no issue. I don’t think the clamps will leave marks, they seem to be strong enough to keep things stable but not so strong that they leave dents once removed. I will say that it’s a little cheap looking, it’s not really an attractive thing, but I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It would be nice if there was a little cutout for charging cords but I’m sure a Dremel will fix that in seconds, and I don’t fault it for that. I think this will last a long time and be very useful when I lose my end table to the Christmas tree. There’s not much to go wrong with it really. Very happy and I would recommend it if cosmetics aren’t much of a problem. ... show more
