For a starter set, a “I have kids” set, or even as an extra set for a guest house or cottage you can’t argue with the current price (70) for a full setting for four. The bowls are deep enough for soups, ice creams, and breakfast cereal with North American Portions and the plates cover the two basic size ranges you need for starters or side dish and your entrée. Having had the army of kids, guests, and years of broken dish sets that we have, these have held up very nicely, have presented our cooking efforts in a finished light, and are an easy clean up that are dishwasher safe. I got this speckled ceramic dinnerware set to use as my everyday dishes. The dishes arrived with really good packaging, so every piece is completely intact. The quality of construction is good, and the dishes feel sturdy for daily meals. They hold up well in the dishwasher and perform perfectly in the microwave without getting too hot. I love the shapes of the wide soup bowls and the lip on the plates keeps sauces from spilling over. They stack very neatly in my small kitchen cabinets which saves me a lot of space. The glaze is where they just do not look as high-end as I had hoped. I am not sure how to explain it, but there is no depth of color one would expect from this kind of glaze pattern. It looks more like it is painted on rather than glazed. It is a nice set that works well, but the visual finish prevents it from looking truly premium. I am not sure because of this that the $70 price is where I would land on these, but they also are not cheaply made. ... show more

But, I feel it would be disrespectful not to give great recognition to how VERY well these are packed! I was blown away and felt such an appreciation for amount of obvious thought and care went into it! Gives me confidence to purchase another set when the time comes. As for this amazing set Once I've removed the dinnerware from the packaging, I fell in love with this set! I got the mint green and the color is gorgeous and the design is intricate and luxurious. The bowls are the perfect size for cereal or soup, the different sized plates are perfect for a quick lunch or a good dinner. They are lightweight, practical, and of good quality. This is such a cute 12-piece speckled glaze ceramic dinnerware set! I absolutely love the color! It's even prettier in person (the photos seriously don't do this set justice), and it makes all my meals look a little extra fancier. The speckled glaze gives it such a fun, charming look, and it matches my kitchen perfectly. The plates and bowls are a great size, feel very nice, thick, and sturdy, and are comfortable to use every day. They also clean up really easily and microwave well; I have yet to try it in the oven, as it's advertised as oven safe, but I honestly can't wait to find a dish or recipe to give it a go. So far, I'm super happy I picked this set (even my sisters want to take it from me for their own homes). It's adorable, well made, and has quickly become my favorite everyday dinnerware.
