Our house is an old House so with that being said, we have no AC. Does it get hot during those hot summer days. Ohh yes. So we thought that this would be the perfect thing to help us keep the house at a cooler more comfortable temperature. Things we like: -This could be a pro or a con depending on how you look at it. But we like that the water tank is quite large. With that being said, it takes quite a bit of water to fill this up. The pro to that is that you don't have to constantly be filling it up with water. The Con to that is that as you are filling it up, you are just waiting and waiting, thinking "seriously how can this one little machine hold so much water. When is it full?😂" -Total Pro is that it comes with 4 ice packs so while you are using 2 you can have 2 in the freezer freezing up till it is time to rotate and switch them out. -The wheels on this make it very easy to move from room to room. -This does keep the room pretty cool. It is no AC so don't expect it to feel JUST like an Air conditioner cause it is not. Its more like a very cold fan if you will. So if you have that in mind you will not be disappointed. If you are expecting it to feel like an AC then you may be slightly disappointed. I will say, it is better than a fan and less great than an AC. so right in the middle of what you may expect. Overall we Love this little unit and move it to whatever room we need it to be in. Perfect for helping to keep the room at a cool comfortable level during these hot summer days.

This cooler holds a lot of water and does give a cooling effect while misting the air. The oscillating feature works well. I have mostly used it as a fan. It is a bit louder as I had it fairly close to my bed and was hoping it would be quieter. The ice blocks included will help cool, but you would need a lot of ice to make a big difference in the temperature in a mid-sized bedroom. Just the effect of the misted air does help you feel cooler, but the added humidity has a negative effect when not in use. You don't want to leave water in it for extended periods of time when not in use, so to drain it, I take it into the shower or tub and pull the plug. It can be fairly heavy with about 20-30lbs of water in it. I would say this has a good option for special needs. I'm thinking I could use it in the press-box at Highschool football games in the summer.

I got this portable air conditioning unit because I do not have a window that I can put an air conditioner in or a place to vent a hose to. So this is the next best thing. Turns out it actually works better because it can be moved anywhere. As long as I remember to get the ice packs back in the freezer, it works great. The best part is that it has quite a wide range of oscillation so it does move air around the room quite well. In general it does keep me a lot cooler than not having it. Also appreciate that it has a timer so it can shut off automatically. I also can move it around from the living room to the bedroom if I need it on super hot days. It's extra helpful that it has a remote so if I'm in bed I need to turn it off, it's easy to do.

Works great in another small room we have . The ice packs are easy to insert . Easy to fill the water tank. The fan has a decent amount of power in a 10x20 room, but the closer the better.

I recently ordered the evaporative air cooler. This is a large item. The actual cooler feels of standard quality but the included ice packs are very cheap and I don't expect them to last. These ice packs must be filled with water and I guess it activates the "stuff" inside. That stuff crumbles out when opening, if you aren't careful. We've got some larger ice packs but they won't fit in the cooler. We used ice to try it out. On low, we could feel the air at about 2 feet away and on high at about 25 ft away (lightly). The air was noticeably cooler but it didn't last very long. Then it was like having a bulky floor fan on. The remote works. I'm giving three stars for meeting expectations. If you're looking for a corded air cooler, I would suggest a tower fan at more than half the cost of this.

I got this portable a/c to use in case my central air goes out or just can't cut it during the really hot summer. The wheels maneuver well and make this completely portable. It can be moved around so that you can stay cool in whatever area of the house you need. It has a small footprint, not much more than a stand fan. It's easy to set up and has different settings to suit your needs. Overall, I'm very happy with it. Small enough to store out of the way when not in use.
