This is a great way to cool a smaller area (think shop office, She-Shed, Man-cave). It uses very little water in the process so you are not constantly filling the tank. PROS I ordered this not knowing that my AC was going to break the day it arrived. Needless to say I was very happy to have this thing. The fan is very strong and relatively quiet considering how much air it was pushing. It was 104 that day and this helped us get through the night. It is pretty compact for what it is as well, and the wheels are very handy for moving it around. Even on our high carpets it rolled around easily. It has a lot of options and the cooler makes some difference. CONS With that being said, filling this with water and putting in the cold packs didn't make as much of a difference as I thought it would. Putting my hand next to the fan I could certainly feel it blowing out a little cooler, but probably not enough to make it worth the hassle of filling it up. Draining the water can also be a little bit of a pain if you need to put it over a tub or sink. If you have the capability to just pour it on the ground then it's not so bad, but just something to keep in mid. OVERALL The cooling factor wasn't as good as I hoped, but overall this is still a powerful and surprisingly quiet fan. I would still recommend this overall as it helped my wife and I get through a 104 degree day. ... show more

I would have never thought a million years if the swamp cooler 😍will be as efficient as it is and not to mention the portability of it just makes it that much more amazing! We were kind of dumbfounded by how simple it works and how easy and sufficient and kept our rooms cool, right now we have it out in our den so our pets can stay as cool as possible while they relax with each other and we also plan on taking it with us on our road trips, so far it's been so good and it doesn't have any leakage, it's pretty good quality and as well as the durability of it's pretty sufficient as well. It's not very bulky which we like because we can fit it in the areas we want to and being able to have the flexibility of how it's used as the greatest quality of all I believe, this is definitely a wow factor 😂 thank you so much! 🎉 ... show more

It makes a lot of noise when it's running a rattling type of noise. And it comes with a cheap remote with a coin cell. The only way you can fill it up is through the top and it tends to overflow pretty quickly. The water runs directly into the electronic panel on the top that is used to control the unit. This is better than the 50k dollar solar system I put on my roof to save money in summer. This thing you just fill up with water and it lasts like 12 hours and it'll keep the majority of your home nice and cool for the rest of the day. I just wish I would've bought this eariler

Very easy to pop wheels on. Not loud outside on patio. Easy to fill with hose on patio. Also easy to empty just tilt back and water drains. I love you use the fan without water . Includes 4 ice packs to keep water cool. Definitely makes a difference in south la. Heat.

    • Good in emergencies!
I got this in case of power outages during the summer months. I can't run my main AC unit off my generator, but this is low enough amperage to do so. With that said, it works in a relatively confined area, and isn't the quietest, but this would still be better than suffering in the Texas heat.
