I have finally found the best subwoofer I have ever had that complements and enhances my home entertainment system. This is my forth in about 15 years, but this SVS 3000 Micro blows all of the others away—even those with much larger drivers. If you are into music as I am, this is the sub to have. It produces a deep yet pleasantly smooth mellowness of upper bass tones that enrich the musicality of most types of music. It also handles all of the various “explosive” sounds of movie soundtracks very well. Using the bass management of my Denon AVR and the default bass configuration settings of the sub via the SVS App is all you need to do—other than adjusting the bass volume to your preference. I have placed the sub 4 inches along the front wall directly behind my home entertainment center with the 2 bass drivers firing left and right along the wall. I believe this design of the sub further enhances the bass dispersion. Also, this is a very nice subwoofer to look at with the high gloss piano black finish. You do not see any grill cloth on its front side. It is amazing how much quality outstanding bass comes out of the relatively small enclosure. This is most definitely one of the very best investments I have made for my home entertainment system in quite a while. ... show more

I bought 2 of these on a whim, after being frustrated at bass cancellations in my mixing/monitoring setup at work. For careful, reasonable bass reinforcement, these little suckers are a dream. Note that they technically do... something... down at 23hz, but it seems to be difficult to get this wave to converge in a way that sounds cohesive. Anyway. I tried these in dual-config mode with Barefoot Footprint01 and KEF LS50 speakers. Both benefitted significantly. With the barefoots I ran the sub separately and low-passed it around 38-40hz. This seemed to best extend the 42hz-45Khz +/- 1.0dB response of these monitors. Now they sound like full-range towers. Footprint01 + (2) 3000 Micro subs could be the DEAL OF THE DECADE in terms of high resolution studio monitoring $5500 for a TIGHT sounding system with no less than EIGHT 8in woofers. With this setup I am in small-room studio heaven. The LS50, due to the rear-port design, can be difficult to place in a room without bass null. For these, I ran the signal through the subs in/out RCA crossover, and set the crossover much higher- 130hz. I set the speakers directly on each sub, like a mini stack, on top of my speaker stands. The bass [sort-of] couples and the sound is really aligned and cohesive. I cannot WAIT to buy 2 more of these, so I have a dual- 3000 Micro setup at home and in the office. My only complaint is that there is no XLR in/out. Converting any high end system down to RCA is a bit annoying. ... show more

The small size was the main selling point for me for use in a two channel music only system. I used the SVS website’s recommended settings for my model of speakers. Those settings worked perfectly so integration was a breeze. The phone app was another selling point and it worked great and avoided getting down on the floor for adjustments. I have dual SVS subs in my living room/HT setup. When I went to build my desk/music only system, I wanted something small that still had good low end extension. I was FULLY prepared to return this sub if I didn't like it, but I LOVE IT. The box doesn't vibrate AT ALL, and the sound is LARGE.

Although a bit pricey, this sub is really fantastic for my PC/home office set up, the sound and bass is clear, powerful, and effective. Would buy again!

This subwoofer puts out exceptionally deep and powerful bass for it's size which blows many larger and more powerful subwoofers out of the water. Being used in combination with my larger SVS sub or all on its own, this compact dynamo never fails to impress.

The sub paired very nicely with my speakers using my Anthem receiver and ARC correction. With my receivers correction I didn't use most of the subs features other than volume control. The sub is very fast and accurate in music and 7.1 movie. It's easy to overdrive this sub if you treat it as it's bigger brothers. As long as you don't expect high SPL with very low bass extension you will be very happy. I'd buy it again. ... show more
