So, I decided that I never want to shave my legs, belly, or pits again! Anyone else feel that way lately? I only just learned about the existence of this technology (I'm always up to date on the latest trends, as you can see) so of course I instantly bought one! Burn my hair follicles with light so the hair can't grow? Sign me up!!! Now, to be perfectly honest, I don't expect much from this device. I can humor the thought that the more expensive devices, and the procedures you can get done at salons and whatnot, use light to slow and prevent the growth of hair. However, I can't rightly bring myself to believe that this- one of the cheaper at home options I've found- will permanently rid me of hairy legs. Still, with hopes high, I unboxed the Svoky IPL hair remover. The instructions are fairly clear, but if you have any confusion, there are lots of pretty girls on Youtube to show you how it's done. Who doesn't like listening to cute girls talk about body hair? It comes with everything you'll need, including sunglasses to help protect your eyes from the bright flashes, charging cord, two interchangeable tops to help direct the light more precisely, and a pretty decent razor, just in case you don't have one on hand. They recommend shaving before using the device, as hair above the skin surface can burn and result in discomfort or possible burns, while reducing the effectiveness of the light since it's getting absorbed before it reaches the follicles. The instructions say to treat areas where you want hair to stop growing 2-3 times per week, so I did it twice. The first time, I shaved and then treated my legs as soon as they were thoroughly dry. I have light yellowish skin and dark brown hair, so I'm in the ideal range for this device and I used it on the highest power level. On most of my legs, I felt a slight sensation when the light flashed, almost like pressure or something akin to a light tingle, jabbing needles, etc. But that was only for the fraction of a second that the light was flashing and it wasn't painful at all. However, I encountered two mildly uncomfortable spots: One was the back of my knees, and even the legs where it got close to the back of my knee. That area is sensitive, of course, so I wasn't surprised to feel a stronger sensation there. However, it actually stung quite a bit and each time the light flashed, my leg twitched like I'd been lightly shocked. Nothing I couldn't sit through for the sake of experimentation, but it was a bit uncomfortable. I suspect that if/when I move on to the bikini line, there'll be some real discomfort happening. The second thing- and this one really hurt- was when I pressed the device too tightly to my knee where the bone bulges out a little bit. I say from experience that the seller provides multiple heads for the device for a VERY good reason. If you can't get the device firmly against your skin without pushing harder than you did for the rest of your body, you need to use a smaller head for that area. When I pressed this thing to the lumpy part of my knee and that light flashed, it burnt the shish out of me. Left a big, mean blister! To be perfectly fair, the seller warned me about that possibility and I didn't pay much attention, I won't try to blame them for my personal stupidity, by all definitions I misused the product, but be aware that the odds of burning yourself are high if you don't pay attention to how hard you're pushing and how much skin is getting pushed towards the light. When in doubt, slap on one of those smaller heads to direct the light and put your skin that much farther away from burns! So, I did a full treatment on both legs, and by the next day, the hairs were poking out. Some people say that they immediately see a slow in their hair growth after the very first treatment, but I certainly didn't. The treatment is supposed to happen slowly over a course of months, however, so I haven't given up yet. The second time I used this device was a few days after the first use. I did not shave in that time and used the device with a little bit of hair poking out, just to see what happened. (Now you don't have to!) It stung a little bit. That's really the only difference I noticed. Well, that and the fact that it smelled MUCH stronger of burning hair. It consistently stung no matter where I used the device on my legs, even the most durable, rough skinned areas. I could sort of feel the hairs getting singed, but it didn't really hurt enough to stop me. I experienced no reactions afterwards, no lingering pain or redness or swelling or any of the stuff you look out for after this sort of thing. My legs were a bit sensitive for a few minutes afterwards, but that quickly faded while I wasn't paying attention, so all was well! Despite the fact that I could distinctly smell burning hair the second time, whereas I smelled almost nothing the first time, none of the hairs on my legs appeared to have been burnt at all. They were as strong as ever and wouldn't rub or pull out without tweezers. Afterwards, they seemed to continue to grow normally. This time, for week two and the third round with this device, I'm going to shave, wait one day, and then use the device to see if there's an ideal amount of time to wait after shaving and before treating the hair. I'll update in a couple more weeks, wish me luck!

I have light skin and dark hair so I am a good candidate for laser hair removal. I've only used it for 2 sessions so I can't review how well it removes hair yet, but I can review the features. I have been pleasantly surprised by how quick the lamp recharges after each flash on this device. I used to have another device and the recharge was so slow that I got frustrated and stopped using it. With this one, I can spend 10 minutes and do both legs. I also like the easy to read display with the flash countdown from 999,900 flashes because it lets me know that the device is working. The cooling feature is nice because it can be used simultaneously with the laser. The sunglasses and razor are great bonuses. So far I love it and I will try to update my review after using it for the recommended 8-12 weeks.

I bought this device and enjoy it. There are instructions and goggles. Firstly, it does not hurt, there is a cooling function, and secondly, I see the result. Especially the bikini area. This is my special topic. And the hair becomes thinner after a few sessions. Of course, more is needed. But I already know how to use this device. Be sure to do everything according to the instructions. I recommend .

My arm lots look amazing! The hair has taken weeks to grow back in some places and when it does it is now very thin and lighter in color. So happy with this purchase. It doesn’t hurt
