Features

  • SV305C is a color entry-Level telescope camera; which has good performance in planetary photography; lunar photography; and is very suitable for EAA
  • SV305C astrophotography camera uses IMX662 sensor; 1/2.8 back-illuminated sensor; 2.9um pixel size can accommodate 38ke full well charge; can effectively avoid overexposure
  • IMX662 sensor has low readout noise; no glow; NIR is improved; especially in the red spectral band; the light sensitivity has been greatly improved
  • SV305C svbony camera has set the planetary high-speed mode and sky space long exposure mode in the sharpcap software; which can be quickly set with one key according to the actual shooting; and can be saved for the convenience of one-key setting next time
  • SV305C built-in 128MB DDRIII image buffer; when the USB interface is not busy or interrupted; the memory will cache the image and transfer it to the computer; so that the frame will not be lost or damaged
  • SV305C color astronomy camera has ROI function; any resolution can be set; reading out a smaller region of interest (ROI) from the sensor keeps the image scale of the object being imaged constant and can increase the capture rate
  • SV305C has BIN function; BIN2*2 pixels can merge two adjacent pixels; which can improve camera sensitivity
  • Protective glass that comes with the SV305 CMOS astrophotography camera adopts a detachable design; Please Note that the protective glass is removable; but the built-in UV/IR CUT filter is not.
  • SV305C telescope camera can be used with a 1.25-inch universal astronomical interface; the front of the camera is a CS interface; in addition; it is equipped with a CS-C adapter ring; which can be used with a C-mount lens and a CS-mount lens
  • SV305svbony camera adopts HCG noise reduction technology; when the gain is increased; the HCG mode will be automatically turned on; which can greatly reduce the readout noise

Description

SV305C telescope camera adopts the latest IMX662 1/2.8” back-illuminated sensor.SV305C svbony camera has ultra-high sensitivity and ultra-low readout noise. It has better performance in planetary photography and moon surface photography, and is very suitable for EAA. One-key quick setting: We have set planetary high-speed mode and deep space long exposure mode in the sharpcap software, users can choose according to their actual shooting needs, and realize one-key quick setting. After setting, they can adjust the best parameters suitable for them. It can be saved for convenient one-key setting next time. The unique one-button operation mode makes planet shooting easier. UV/IR CUT protective glass with detachable design: If users want to shoot infrared or ultraviolet bands, they can remove the protective glass at the front of the camera by themselves, connect it with a 1.25-inch extension tube, and connect an external IR685, IR850 or UV Venus filter to achieve different shooting experience. Using HCG noise reduction technology, when the gain is increased, the HCG mode will be automatically turned on, which can greatly reduce the readout noise, and at the same time retain the high dynamic range of low gain. When the gain value of SV305C astrophotography camera is 190, HCG will be turned on automatically. SV305C telescope camera is compatible with MacBook, you need to download AstroDmx software. SV305C astrophotography camera uses the IMX662 sensor. Compared with the previous generation sensor IMX462, the sensor has three times the full well charge, which can effectively avoid overexposure and ensure long exposure. The IMX662 sensor has the characteristics of low readout noise, no glow, and greatly improved NIR, especially in the red spectral band, which has a higher sensitivity than IMX462. SV305C telescope camera can use a 1.25-inch universal astronomical interface, the front of the camera is a CS interface, and it is also equipped with a CS-C adapter ring, which can be used with C-mount lenses and CS-mount lenses for shooting. USB2.0 can meet the basic needs of users, suitable for entry-level planetary photography. The built-in protective glass of the fuselage is UV/IR CUT, which can reach a high transmittance of more than 96% in the visible light range of 400-700nm. When shooting celestial images in the visible light range, a well-balanced color can be obtained. SV305C astrophotography camera has a built-in 128MB DDRIII image buffer. The benefit of the image buffer is that the memory will cache the image and transfer it to the computer when the USB interface is not busy or being interrupted, so that the frame won’t be lost or corrupted.

  • Works great until
Style: USB2.0
Works great until it heats up then the image is quite bad. I can only get 20 minutes of images. This is in AZ USA so it’s 90 degrees outside at night. They need to have a cooled version of this for $250. I’d buy 2.

  • Wow! That's all I can say.
Style: USB2.0
The first time I used this camera was to view the 2024 Solar Eclipse from Central Ohio. You can see how good it is. This camera in conjunction with the Sharpcap software is amazing. I'm very amateur at this, it didn't take me long to figure out. Based on the magnification I'm getting, it's approximately a 5mm aperture, so my 750mm Newtonian gives me a 150x view. A perfect and inexpensive starter camera. I love not having to stoop and squint at the eyepiece anymore. ... show more

  • Didn't work at all
Style: USB2.0
Received the camera and tried it out on our Orion 16" dobsonian telescope. Total waste of time. Camera does nothing. I downloaded and installed the two software packages (SVBONY camera software and the recommended Imagery software). The camera produces a white glare when pointed at a bright light (end of a flashlight for example), but shows nothing from the telescope. Tried all manner of settings, exposure, focus options, etc - nothing. The camera never showed a single image or even a blur through the telescope. Returned the unit. ... show more

  • In Progress and Learning
Style: USB2.0
I am new to planetary image. Would be nice if someone published a step by step tutorial on using this camera with AstroDmx Capture and a Celestron NexStar. I was able to use this combination to capture some daytime images of a tree in the distance with also using a Flip Mirror. I understand for planets you need to get them perfectly centered since the field of view with the camera is small ... show more

  • The planitary camera that can do deep sky.
Style: USB2.0
I am liking the deep sky EAA images I am getting with this camera and the 60mm guide scope as the imaging telescope. Budget friendly and fun. Field of view is about 1 degree.
