It took about ten minutes or less from the time that I opened the box to install the Suuson car phone holder. I read instructions and this has instructions for three different installations, so it took longer, still quick. Then I was driving on a busy main arterial, 1st Ave South in Seattle, and some careless person pulled out in front of me doing a U-turn. Not only did I almost hit him, but when I swerved left, I was barreling head-on toward a big truck coming at me, both of us traveling about 40 MPH. Whew, I swerved again while traffic in both directions avoided the mayhem. The Suuson car phone mount stayed stuck to the windshield with my Pixel 8 Pro safely gripped. If it had been on the seat, it would have flown to the floor as my courier bag did with my lunch containers spilling out. I like this better than the one that was stolen in a car prowl. I used to struggle with two hands to relieve the springs and insert my phone. This one grabs the phone securely with an easy smooth squeeze of the side grips. Likewise I take the phone out with one hand using the release button. I recommend this device especially at the $11.00 price. UPDATE after a few days of use. I'm even LIKING THIS MORE. As with other such mounts, I have to be careful about the volume control on my phone. Now that I am aware, I can easily adjust volume as needed while driving. ... show more

I got this before I went on a 5 hour drive back to my school after spring break and wondered how I could live without it. It's so much better to not have to look at your crotch for directions - I'm afraid of being pulled over. Like the headline says, it's very sturdy. It has some sort of adhesive on the suction cup attached to the back of it and it stuck to my windshield exceptionally well. It's fully adjustable so it can accommodate the well of your windshield - mine is a little deep so I'm surprised it fit perfectly. ... show more

I liked this cell phone holder fo rmy car, for the 30 days it worked. It wasn't even 30 days because by then I had to reattach it to my dash three different times. I changed the location after the first time but it still did not last. Yes, it held my phone when it cam eoff the dash and hit the floor. Very distracting when you are actually driving! I tried to use it by applying heavy duty double sided stick tape to the sticky part of the suction, and still nothing.I cannot use the the holder in my vent because in AZ it gets super hot!! I am not going to block a vent with a phone. I didn't buy it for that purpose anyway. I guess I am back to searchcing again for something that actually does what it is supposed to do and lasts! ... show more

The 3M pad that came with this mount was not sticky at all. Fortunately the suction cup is able to stick to my dash. Otherwise, it seems like a sturdy, secure mount. I’m just glad I didn’t need the 3M pad.
