I'd just bought this watch from Amazon. I tested it for running to check the accuracy. It is suitable for any type of workout you do. It has a lot of workout modes to be tracked. The HRM seems not too accurate comparing with GARMIN lineups. It read my heart rate approximately 10-15 bpm higher than my actual. However, this watch showed almost the correct heart rate when I use it to track calisthenics exercise (Freeletics BW). The GPS tracking seems better comparing my previous GARMIN Vivoactive 4 (I do not have any reference for FENIX series), and from outside, this watch looks rugged and tough. It is an excellent option If you want a watch, which is less than $400 and probably only a slight difference with the barometer version (I bought this during kind of discount in Amazon).     • GPS fails and gives inaccurate data (Don't buy this watch)
Well, I'm deeply disappointed with this watch. First you'll ended up shifting between Suunto Movescount and Suunto App, not knowing wich to choose, I sticked to Movescount, but Suunto have plans on removing it. I bought the Non Baro version and the GPS is inaccurate when obtaining the elevation gain or loss (around 25-35% innacuracy). I wrote to the Customer support and the answer they gave me was " buy the baro version with a 30% of discount", so, it means that they know the product is uncapable of giving good results, so why include this characteristic. For me it's very important to have reliable measuring for the elevation gain and loss, but this watch can't do so. What I did was to send the information to strava and have it corrected by them. It's an expensive watch and it seems Suunto doesn't care much about bringing good service. I'll get rid of it and buy Garmin Fenix. ... show more

I have used it for swim and bike. Nice distance determining in the pool. But sometimes adds extra lap when change swimming style in the middle of the pool. Fast and accurate GPS locating.     • Look for all the brands before purchase this one
I used the watch when running, hiking and trail running. Despite of occasional GPS accuracy problem, the watch works fairly fine for me. The suunto app also got improved while comparing with previous movescount app. But still not comprehensive enough as a platform.
