There was a blob of glue on the neck where the nut was installed, a big paint bubble in the body, and the amp on-off button fell off on first use and wouldn't stay on anymore. Too many problems to keep even for a cheap guitar and I'm heart broken because it was a pretty guitar except for the paint bubble and glue blob. ... show more

Got this for my son who has just started learning guitar. He has a Fender acoustic, but also wanted an electric guitar. This seems like a great low budget option. Keeping in mind that I am not a guitar expert here are my observations. The guitar came strung but without significant tension on the strings. I had no issues tuning it. I used the included tuner and compared it to a fender tuner that we had. The tuner seemed to be calibrated well. The guitar seems well made and solid. No issues with the control knobs or pickup switch. The tiny portable amp that comes with it is quite adorable, but without a doubt the weakest link in the bundle. It feels quite cheap (especially the knobs). I tried to power it with a few different AC/DC adaptors that I had, but none of them worked. From the imprint on the side of the amp it appears to require a negative core positive outer plug. I had both types of polarity and neither of them worked. It does work fine with a 9v battery. It also included a spare set of strings, a few picks, a strap and a soft case/travel bag. The case is not particularly padded. While it will make transporting the guitar easier, it will only provide basic protection. My son loves it and considering everything mentioned above I would definitely recommend it as it is probably the top option at the current price point. ... show more

The guitar is okay for a start up guitar I like all the accessories jt comes with but the amp is awful. No reverb. Crab quality. You can’t use it at all I do think there are better start up guitars for the same price.
