The metal parts of the hooks were discolored, half silver and half gold. They also bent out of shape easily woth normal use. Was frustrating and seemed cheaply made.

If the coating wouldn't come off, good hooks, grab yarn well (much better than other brands in those tiny sizes). Cute set! For knitting with small beads hooks might not fit through beads, whereas other brands same size hooks get through (e.g, 8/0 size beads)
