Reflex hammers can also be used for chest percussion. 128-C TUNING FORK: The 128 weighted tuning fork is the most popular forks in use today. This tuning fork has been shown to promote the release of nitric oxide and is particularly good for relieving pain due to inflammation such as arthritis or sports injuries. 512-C TUNING FORK: The Tuning fork or bone oscillator is overdriven and made so loud it deviates from its fundamental frequency, It will produce distortion. It should be noted that it is common to use the term 512 Hz when referring to a tuning fork test. The tuning fork will not lateralize if both ears are normal.
