Description

In-line surge protector keeps your 10G Ethernet network equipment safe Ideal for home/corporate security systems, home theaters, trade shows and other digital signage applications, The b110-sp-cat protects connected network equipment from damage caused by Lightning, electrostatic discharge (esd) and cable discharge events. Just connect it between your source and network device using Cat5/5E/6 cables, such as Tripp Liter's n001-series snag less patch cables (sold separately). Note: two b110-sp-cat surge protectors are required to protect both source and device. Your last defense against intruding voltage spikes solid-state silicon-avalanche diode technology features low clamping voltage, providing superior protection against ESD and super-fast response time under one nanosecond. Gas discharge modules on all four twisted pairs protect each wire from surges or spikes by dissipating the voltage transient through a contained Plasma gas. The b110-sp-cat meets the following IEC regulations: IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) +/- 15KV (Air), +/- 8KV (contact) and IEC 61000-4-5 (lightning) 2Ka (8/20µs), 6KV (8/20µs). ready to use right from the package, so you can plug and play immediately This in-line surge protector supports data transmission speeds up to 10 Gbps and 4K resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz (HDBaseT) without signal degradation. No software, drivers or external power supply is required. The compact metal Housing is designed to endure in applications where static discharge is likely to occur. Mounting hardware is included for convenient installation where needed. Be sure the distance between the b110-sp-cat and the equipment It is protecting is no more than 300 feet. Taa-compliant for GSA Schedule purchases The b110-sp-cat is compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA), which makes it eligible for GSA (general Services administration) Schedule and other federal procurement contracts.

  • Works for Cat7 cables too.
Style: 10 Gbps Pattern Name: Standard
I'm not sure why the description does not include Cat7. I have Heavy Duty Outdoor Cat7 Ethernet cable from my router to my Solar Inverter and wanted to add a surge protector inline, since it recommends one and we do have lightning in my area. I hesitated for a few days on getting this since it seems like it purposely does NOT list Cat7 for some reason. But I gave it a shot, got a smaller Cat7 (same brand as other) to go from this to the inverter and this works just fine. I did test it using Cat7 cables in the house before I went thru the process of powering everything down in order, opening the inverter panels, removing current eth. cable and installing the shorter eth cable to this surge protector, etc... and it worked fine. This Surge Protector is inside a garage thus I did not need the outdoor weather resistant version of this (also sold here). I did NOT test any up/down speeds since my application is not dependent on "speed". In case anyone needs this info: Here is the 150' Cat7 Cable I got: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0822YDTYK Here is the 10' Cat7 Cable I got to go from Inverter to this surge protector: https://amazon.com/gp/product/B08242TWNH The 150' has been installed for 2 years, most of the cable is outdoors in the open where it gets full sun, rain, ice and snow and is still working perfectly. None of the cable is buried however. ... show more

  • IT WORKS! UPDATED Review.
Style: 1 Gbps Pattern Name: Standard
FIRST REVIEW: I put it inline with the modem and main switch, I get no internet. I put it inline with an IP phone, the phone goes dead. I put it inline with my computer, I can't get the local network or internet. I got a dud maybe. UPDATE: SOOO ... they sent me another one, and it works just fine! I pay for a gig connection, put this inline between my unfi UDM Pro and the cable modem and i'm getting about 650 to 850mbps down and 44 up, so it's worth it from what I can tell! ... show more

  • Easy peace of mind
Style: 1 Gbps Pattern Name: Standard
Your ISP doesn't care about your router or modem. They won't pay for them if they break them or permit a large surge to come through their equipment. Even if that surge ruins THEIR equipment. This provides a significant and meaningful amount of surge protection for not very much money. And from a name you trust. Can also confirm 940 up and 938 down with this better my router and the ISP modem. It's rated for 2.5G ethernet. Can't test that, but gigabit service is completely unaffected. Just buy it. Inexpensive peace of mind. ... show more
