The build quality is nice and I like the Fuji guides and the double locking reel holder. I find the rod to be nice and nimble and the tip is very sensitive. The only downside is the thin grips given my long fingers (wear size XL gloves).

This is my NEW GO-TO pole whenever we go anywhere these days. I love that it's so lightweight & so durable I never have to worry about something damaging it. Nor do I have to worry about wondering if it will handle the huge fish I might land. This poke has never let me down so far... its actually been a very LUCKY pole! I’m primarily a freshwater fisherman but last year we took a trip to the beach. I struggled with my small rods and after watching other fisherman catching fish with these big surf rods I knew I needed one. They are crazy expensive. This one however fits a budget and it’s very well made. A good sensitivity allows you to still feel the bottom even through this big thick rod. It cast smooth and long enough to keep the rod tip above most waves. This really is a good rod both for an experienced fisherman or a novice.

This is one handsome 2 piece surf rod. It is all black with like a snake skin design on the top section and shiny black bottom half with a crosshatch pattern on the hard foam handle. It also has Fuji guides and reel seat that should give it some longevity. It has medium fast action and takes 20 to 40 lb. braid and up to a 4 oz. lure. I have used this 2 piece 9 footer a few times in the Gulf surf with no issues and no sign of wear so far. It casts very well with 20 lb. braid and numerous different weight lures. It also fished bait on pompano rigs with 3 and 4 oz. pyramid and sputnick sinkers with ease. I really hope this Littma surf rod holds up as well as it should with its quality components and attention to detail. For a quality surf rod in this price range I believe it to be an absolute bargain!
