    • A few misleading features
Color: Orange
I like the orange color. I like the ease of releasing chin strap with one hand. I like that it is big enough for my fat head but can be adjusted down for others. However, saying it is lighweight also means less thick material. Saying it has hard front brim is false. For example my existing Dakine you can actually see the hard material inside the front brim with its softer but thick material all around. I like this for putting on before my water helmet I use to make tighter fit within the helmet and the thick material means it blockes a lot of the force on my ears but I do not have to wear ear plugs which I hate since I want to hear my fellow surfers for communication. The material used with this orange unit has equal brim material on all sides which makes it less than a floppy bucket hat. I will keep this to use around my pool or when I am not using a helmet. I suspect the thinner material means it will wear out quickly but I will not know this until it is past its return window. If it holds up then its worth the lower price from being imported from Amazon's favorite discount providers from Asia. ... show more

I have been using this hat now for over a year surfing a minimum of 8 times a month and It has been great. The strap provides a perfectly secure hold during duck-diving, wipeouts and from wind. I have medium length hair, and when it's excessively windy outside, I pop this hat on and it keeps the hair out of my face.
