The Surebonder Cordless Hot Glue Gun has been a great addition to my tool collection. It heats up within just a couple of minutes and maintains its temperature well — I can easily use it for several minutes off the stand without any drop in performance. When it does need reheating, it only takes a moment. It’s worth noting that this model doesn’t have a built-in battery. The stand itself is what plugs into the outlet, and you just press the glue gun down to lock it into place for heating. Personally, I don’t find that to be a downside. Without an internal battery, the glue gun is much lighter and easier to handle, which makes it more comfortable for longer use. The stand includes a fold-out drip tray that prevents hot glue from getting on your work surface — a small but really practical feature. I also appreciate the integrated on/off switch, which lets you keep it plugged in safely, and the insulated tip that helps protect against accidental burns (though, of course, you still need to be careful near the nozzle). Another thoughtful touch is the pair of small plastic wings on the sides of the glue reservoir. They let you safely lay the gun on its side without worrying about glue smearing or the hot tip touching the table.     • Cordless feature rocks! Holder-not so much..

This glue gun is pretty straightforward. It's my first cordless one and I'm an avid crafter. Thought I'd see what all the buzz was about. I DO love that it's cordless but oh my gosh it loses the beauty of that perk by requiring TWO hands to get it out of its holder(!!) I am one that prefers to place a hot glue gun upright and in exactly the same place each time I use it preferring safety far above burnt fingers or ruined furniture. There are times you are hurrying, working quickly, holding something right in place while trying to put very hot glue in this exact location. So, if you are reaching for the gun and the holder sticks to the bottom of the gun and it requires 2 or 3 good shakes to get it unstuck... it's enough to drive me wild. Moving on, the small plastic circle intended to catch drops of glue while it sits in the holder does do its duty. But, it is on a clip-in-place latch(?) that is difficult to get back in place if you've removed it. I've probably owned 20 glue guns in my lifetime and I'm still searching for one that gets it perfect. Cordless is a big plus though and I don't think I'll go back to the cord anytime soon. Great hot glue gun. I'm using it for an RC airplane, and it burns the foam a little bit, but it ensures that the bond is very strong. Additionally, it doesn't cool off very fast, so you have time to remove any extra glue from the surface.

I have been on what seems like an endless journey to find a glue gun to replace the one. My mother gave me years in years ago you know the kind, violates all the safety laws, gets so hot it melts everything, and is just practically perfect. So to make this review simple I’ll give you the likes and what I don’t like. Likes : -I like the stand that it comes with -I like the appearance of the glue gun -I like the price of the glue gun : 16$ Dislikes: -It’s not really cordless. The manufacturer suggests that when you take it off the stand, it becomes cordless when actuality, you’re just working with residual heat from the Glue gun. So if we use that definition define cordless all glue guns are cordless. -If you want to keep the glue gun plugged in, you can’t use the sand it came with. You have to lay it on that side. If you do use cordless mode too long, it takes forever for it to get hot again. -The glue gun is inconsistent with power. Some days it will eat a glue stick and Sundays. It takes the force of a Mack truck to get a glue stick to go through. When I bought the glue gun I had yet to have my carpal tunnel surgery. It’s been two weeks since my surgery and I still can’t pull the trigger adequately enough on this glue gun. Something you might want to think about if you have hand problems. -After contacting the manufacture directly I was pretty much told there’s nothing we can do for you, but here’s 20% off your next purchase. The reason being is because I didn’t buy the glue gun from their direct website. -As you can see from the pictures the glue gun drips in the housing is coming apart at the seams. I don’t know if this is a manufacture, problem or design problem there other guns might be great, but this one just doesn’t hit the mark.
