Purchased because the description stated it was good for international use. It worked, but even with a converter, this flat iron got so hot I had to use a towel to hold it. Thankfully it didn’t short out.

This straightener worked perfectly for me on a recent trip to England. It has a normal US plug, so you still need a converter to plug it into the wall, but since it's dual voltage, it will work on the UK wattage. Only giving this 4 stars since my hair kept getting stuck and pulled randomly while using it. Otherwise, it did a good job of straightening my naturally wavy hair and it stayed straight all day, even in the rainy/snowy weather.

This duo dual voltage straightener was perfect for international travel to the UK. I was able to straighten and curl my hair while on vacation. The only downside is that it doesn’t straighten as fast and the more times you straighten, the more staticky your hair gets even with proper hair straightening products. It didn’t pull out any of my hair like other reviewers had even when curling .

On the last days of a recent vacation, my straight iron fell apart in my hands. I knew it would happen someday, as I used it for about 15 years. When I tried to replace it with the same model, it was much more money than I wanted to spend. So, I searched on Amazon and found this wonderful new straight iron. It was about 80% cheaper than the other. I've now had it for about a month. It is easy to operate and I love it. I even like the pink color. All smiles.

I needed to find a dual voltage flat iron and this one was incredible. I only had to plug it into a UK adapter and it was ready for use. I gave it an overall of 4 ONLY because when I used it, it would lock in place after releasing my hair sometimes - Not sure why. But I would click the flat iron together a couple of times and it would open again to use. OTHERWISE I love this and will even use it at home when not travelling. I have fine, straight hair and set it on 370 degrees and worked well. I would buy again.

This is a great affordable travel flat iron. I brought it with me to Crete and it worked great. I will be taking it with me on future trips. Luckily, I gave the iron a little test run at home before I took it on travel. This iron gets really hot (which is awesome because I have some crazy hair). Be careful when using and don't get those fingers near those plates as they are, I burned one of my fingers. I was a little more careful during my trip.

I needed a straightener to be able to use when I travel internationally and this was perfect. I was a little concerned when it came because it was still the american style plug but I can attest to it not burning out on a recent trip to the UK. Be warned though, it does put out the 220v and gets HOT! So I would highly suggest starting on the lowest setting to make sure you don't fry your hair! The lowest setting was more than I needed for my thin hair. I actually would let it heat up then unplug it and use it, it was so hot. So just proceed with caution but I will always pack this from now on!
