Not the best performing, but it is certainly good enough. I tested it vs another low profile WiFi dongle that I bought $15. I will not complain, the value is here and it is certainly sufficient. This WiFi adapter was plug and play with Linux mint. No additional drivers were needed. All that i needed to do was put the adapter in a open USB slot, just like you would do with a flash drive or a mouse. I would not hesitate to buy this again.

I wanted to use as a backup on a WINDOWS 10 HP laptop. I have 2 hard drives and keep a cloned copy as my backup. I was attempting to install 0n drive 2. The installation wizard did it's job and installed , but part of the package was written on drive 1. Apparently that is why the installation did not work. It appeared that to make everything work it had to be installed on drive 1. I did an uninstall on drive 2 and removed drive 2. I Rebooted on drive 1. Tried to reload the installation disk, but got the message "files already loaded on disk 2. I now have an installation disk that is locked and I cant install on drive 1 At this point I dont have a working WIFI backup. ... show more

I bought two of these and they appear to work just fine so far. I did find two minor issues. They get quite hot, I have other similar USB wifi dongles that don't get nearly as hot. Both of them had the same hardware address, a definite standards violation since every device is required to have a unique hardware address. It means you can't use two of these on the same network without forcing a hardware address change in software. Fairly easy to take care of in linux where I'm using them.
