Our Ooni can use either propane or wood to cook a pizza. The wood adds the most flavor but takes a little more monitoring of the temperature as you want the oven to be at 900 degrees or higher.

I bought this pack to use with my Solo Mesa personal fire pit. The fire starters work great, but you only get 4 of them and I used 2 the first time out. The wood pieces are just the right size, burn nicely, but it goes quickly so I went through quite a bit in 3 hours. It also didn't give much flavor to what I cooked over it. Overall, super easy to use and comes with a nice little carrying/storing bucket (with a lid, to keep it dry), but it's a bit pricey for the amount you get. My Solo Mesa is only 6" dia. and I went through about 8-10 pcs of wood per hour. This probably isn't very cost effective for anything larger. ... show more
