These fire starters do what they are supposed to do - they light very easily! The waxy sawdust like starting material is packed in a small paper cup that also has a bit of wax covering it. I have used them to start the charcoal in my Green Egg smoker. These starters light much faster and easier than the stick shaped ones - just a bit of flame and they light right up! ... show more

Smaller than I expected which is my fault for not reading the description better but these things will get a campfire going in no time. Usually only takes one, much easier to bring on camp trips than those 2 hr wood burning logs that are 20x as big. When I run out, I will purchase more from this company. ... show more

Easy to use, but not hard to make at home. Thrift store candles and sawdust. Be aware, some candle wax will produce lots of smoke.

These are awesome ! Makes lighting our campfires a breeze , I used these with charcoal and didn't need kindling to start , although I did use a small amount of twigs the last night but didn't seem to matter , fire took right off z1 Definitely worth the money and will b2 buying more

We camp most weekends and then some. I've tried most fire starters and these are the best. They seem a bit expensive but keep in mind you get 50 and only need 1 to start a fire, so that's 50 nights worth.
