Well, took a chance and purchased this machine; it was a good move! After using it the day it arrived and again two charge cycles today, I'm even more impressed. We have thick, clayey soil. My previous gas operated machine was heavy and bulky, and the exhaust was horrid, you know how those two-cycle engines are. We got an order of sixty grand fir trees a day or two before this arrived. I was able to drill nine holes the first day on the first charge, and then two charges today got me through twenty more - so half the job is done! It's a pleasure to use. Not as heavy as the gas operated drill, I thought "oh yeah, this might dig a hole" after looking at it. Putting it to the test proved it though. Dug holes just as good as the gas operated one, and because there's no exhaust blowing in your face and no loud noise of a stinking two-cycle engine, and it's much lighter, it was easy to go from hole site to hole site. However, I think due to the heavy earth we have here, ten holes was about max. But I buried the bit to the hilt into each one. That's a 30-inch-deep hole. Took just minutes for each one, and in the lighter soil areas, even quicker. I really like this machine. It's worth the money, even though I think it's a bit high. But well worth it, and I don't have to mess around with the stinking gas operated earth drill anymore! Battery charges relatively fast, knocked off and had lunch and a break and in about an hour it was pretty much fully charged. On the downside, there's no automatic cut-off when the battery is fully charged so you really have to watch it and pull it off the charger soon after it's full. Other than that bit, it's a good machine and worth it. I'd get an extra battery of the larger size, or two. If you could rotate batteries, you could work with this all day. It's a pleasure to use.

this has helped me put up a fence solo and dig the holes needed for the post it does about 10 holes on full charge if you going 30 inches deep with some resistance. must hold tight and make sure you have a firm grip when digging down to not hurt yourself. it gets the small jobs done and can expedite small task that need 4x4 in cement other than that I would not use this for major jobs that require the same power as gas but for 180 on sale I think its a great tool. its also easy to transport.

So your company sells battery powered equipment (with your name on it) but you don’t sell the chargers for those batteries? I bought an auger from your company and it included a battery and a charger. 2 years later the charger stops working. However first I thought it was a problem with the battery, so I bought a new battery. Ofc when it ships it doesn’t have a charge and you need to charge it when you get it. So I plug it up to the charger and low and behold, it’s a problem with the charger, NOT the battery! So I need a new charger.. okay, I look on your website. Can’t find the charger I need (for the product you sell), so I ask your customer service where to buy it and they persistently ask “please give me your full name and mailing address so I can verify your user”. I ask, do you have a link I can click on to purchase [this] charger (I attached 2 pictures of my charger and a picture of the same charger that you sell for your air compressor. The response I get is, “what is your name and address so I can best assist you”. Why do you need that info? Just tell me how I can buy the charger! I don’t know what to do now with 2 empty 48V 2.0AH 88.8WH batteries, probably a ~$200 value. But no way to charge them! Sad thing is I love your auger and use it all the time. Or should I say ‘used’ it, because I have no way to power it up. What to do..

I called the number on the machine and no one ever answered the phone so after several attempts to get in touch to maybe see why the machine didn’t work I returned it. A friend of mine has the same machine and recommended this and it works great. Apparently I just got a faulty piece of equipment. I would love to have had an opportunity to just trade it in but like I said, no one ever even answered the service number throughout different times of the day and different days.

I ordered this tool because it seemed to be the only solution to a problem I had. I own an 8-plex with all the water heaters in the crawlspace (almost has standing room). I recently refinanced the property and the lender was requiring me to strap all eight water heaters with earthquake straps. The problem is there was nothing to strap to. I needed to install wood posts behind 8 water heaters, with only 5' of headroom in an enclosed space, and needed to do it in a weekend. The post-hole digger was out due to headroom, and the gas auger was out due to the enclosed space. I found this online and ordered it. It's the perfect tool for the job! Now that I have this, I have also started setting my own signposts for our rental listings. This thing tears through the ground in less than a minute. That saves me $30 on each listing and that makes a difference!
