The media could not be loaded. These lights have a rating of IP65, which means they can resist dust and low-pressure water jets from any direction, so they can stand up to most weather conditions. They do not incorporate motion-sensing; they come on at night, and are off and recharging during the day. They have a cool little green single LED in the lower-left corner (see attached video) that flashes slowly when recharging, flashes rapidly when nearly discharged, and stays on when fully charged. I like this feature because I know something's happening during the day when it's supposed to be recharging. Even during a cloudy day, it charges enough to stay on all night, although it may be pretty dim come early morning. On a full charge, it is very bright, even on its low brightness setting. I like that the light unit is separate from the solar panel, because you can configure the solar panel to get maximum sunlight without affecting the light path. Also, they can put a bigger battery into the light unit. Also, there is a U-shape in the plastic frame that makes it easy to push the stake into the ground. I exclusively use SuperDanny power strips and have for years so I was excited when I saw they made solar lights. These weren't very bright when I first put them out but now they barely work at all. Maybe faulty? But seems odd both barely work now. Wish I could recommend but I do not

We got these to shine on the front of the house and the effect is very nice. I installed them and angled the solar panels to collect the most light possible during the day, and set them to use warm yellow light on low brightness. The effect is very warming and accents the front nicely. They hold a good charge too, as they are still on in the mornings when I leave for work. I will say even the low brightness is a little brighter than expected, and the brightest is very bright. So depending on your need or and purpose these could be perfect or just OK, a third brightness option would be nice. ... show more

    • Easy nice lighting - no wires
These are a nice addition to our many solar lights in our raised flower beds. We have several different solars lights that illuminate our landscaping beds. These lights offer a decent amount of illumination and stay on for a fair amount of time. The only thing that I have noticed with this particular light set is that the light does not reflect well unless there is a solid wall in the backdrop. What I mean by that is, that I think they are much brighter when the light "bounces" off of a solid wall. These still light up our tree trunks and dress up our flower beds at night - best part is that they are wireless and can be poked down into the ground anywhere without any wiring issues. Of course, full sunlight during the day is crucial to get the full effect of the brightness. So far we are happy with these - these are a good option for beds where hard wiring is not an option. I LOVE these outdoor solar lights. The solar panel size is large enough so that the lights can be sufficiently charged during the day. The positioning mechanism of the light head and also the solar panel is great. The large rubber-covered button for turning on/off and color changing is sturdy and very ergonomically placed under the solar panel. Both the light and the solar panel are able to be positioned independently and firmly in a large range of positions. I used the ground stakes and positioned mine at low bushes to make my husband's dog walks safer as he maneuvers out of the driveway. The different cool/warm light choices are so beautiful. You can get different looks in different seasons. Don’t try to use these as spotlights. The light is shorter distance, and less focused, providing a close blanket of light for safety and ambiance. ... show more

    • Bright and Easy To Use Spot Lights
These lights are surprisingly bright, so much so that I had to turn down the brightness. I use these units to light up a large tree in my front yard, and they work well for that purpose. These were very easy to assemble and install, and feature adjustable brightness. The solar-charged batteries are sufficient to keep these lights bright until well into the night. I have found that the lights work better if I occasionally clean the built-in solar panels, but that only takes a minute. These lights replaced a badly worn low-voltage lighting system, and these lights are much easier to use and much more cost-effective. ... show more
