I had a 9 inch rubber strip under the open pedal on my kitchen garbage can that fell off. This is the rubber strip that keeps the garbage can from sliding on the floor. I thought long and hard on what type of glue to use to reattach the piece of rubber to the steel piece it was no longer attached to. Finally I came across this super glue double sided construction adhesive tape and decided to give it a try. Folks, it worked perfectly. I attached a 9 inch strip to the piece of rubber and trimmed the excess tape off the rounded corners and an minute part on the edge with a pair of scissors. Then I used a tooth pick to lift up the film enough to remove the entire strip with my fingers so that I could attach the rubber strip to the metal on the garbage can. I pressed the glue side of the rubber strip to the space on the medal garbage can for a few minutes until it set. This double sided tape worked great for my needs and can think of many other uses. Last summer I made an outdoor cabinet the screen doors on the bottom. I had a heck of a time holding the screen in place so that I could attach a wood strip around it. This tape would have worked great as a sticky gasket to hold it to the would and free up both hands to attach the wood strip that I screwed it too. This product worked great for my needs and I recommend it to family, friends, and others looking for a double sided tape with a variety of uses. Enjoy! ... show more

Plumbing updates left some square holes in a soffit. I used these tapes to affix some wood — paint stirrers, they were handy— that spanned the interior of each hole, so I could then affix sheet rock pieces to the wood to cover the holes. Those familiar with this know how much of a pain this can be. The tapes held the wood securely in place, no need to wait for construction glue to dry (although I did add dollops of glue next to the tape as “insurance”).
