We used the slicer to slice 7 smoked briskets. The slicer was easy to use and saved us a good amount of time by using it instead of an electric knife or regular knife. I would definitely recommend.

It slices cheese and meat. The plastic holder is weak and you need to rotate the cheese/meat to keep the slices evenly sliced. Tricky to clean after using.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this slicer on April 4, 2019. I’ve used it quite often, mostly for bread slicing. I also have sliced big thin slices of raw beef for my rouladen. The key to slicing raw meats is to slightly freeze the meat before processing. Inserting a tip here: Do not force the meat—let the machine do the work. For my roulades, I also thinly slice my onions and pickles with this machine...very fast and easy process. The motor is neither quiet nor loud, and the speed is medium. Let’s put it this way....regarding the speed, if you’re not bright (lol) and you don’t use the guard, you have time to pull your finger back before you get a stub..lol. No chance of any “extra ingredients” with the safety features in place. Lastly, the price is WOW, cheap. After months of use, I’ve thought long and hard and I just don’t have anything negative to say about this machine. UPDATE: Fast forward a year. The plastic crap on the guide bar just crumbled into little pieces. WHY are there plastic pieces on each end of the guide bar?? There’s a lot of back and forth rigorous action on that bar! So cheap!! The whole machine is rendered useless now. ... show more
